My focus is to find a balance between fact and description such as we can see in Ice Bear, though my diary is for an older audience. Ice Bear is also structured to follow the journey of a polar bear, leaving sensitive subjects such as hunting seals till the second half of the book so that the reader has time to understand why such things happen.

The biggest threat to polar bears is global temperatures rising. They rely on sea ice to catch prey, to migrate, to procreate, and to rest. They are currently endangered and scientists have discovered that if global temperatures do not decrease, polar bears will go extinct. Due to these rising temperatures, polar bears are struggling to cope with these new changes in their environment because they are so ice-dependent. Scientists are trying to save the last of the ice because this is how they hunt for seals.

So after taking a dip in the water, the bears just shake of the water.  Underneath all that hair is actually black skin that absorbs heat from the sun. Those adaptions are what keeps the polar bear species alive today. These bears hunt for their food and use the freezing water to get to some of their prey. To assist with swimming, they have a four inch layer of blubber that lets them stay bouyont.

Grizzly bear is a kind of animal which has no predators, except for humans. Nowadays, If grizzly bear hunting should be allowed has became a controversial topic. To some extent, I agree with this point of view. In this essay, I will analyze some reasons that why I agree to stop hunting grizzly bear to a certain extent. The prohibition of hunting grizzly bear can be of assistance to the ecological balance.
