Respondents of the Study The respondents of this study will be the senior college students ages 19-22 years old, studying within Metro Manila and belonging to either Catholic, Christian, or Non-Christian denominations. Table 1 presents the prospective respondents of this study. There will be 2,354 senior college students.

Myers- Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI). This tool was first compiled by Isabel Briggs Myers with her mother Katharine Cook Briggs using the typological theory proposed by Carl Jung. He speculated that there are four principal psychological functions by which humans experience the world – sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking – and that one of these four functions is dominant for a person most of the time. The MBTI was constructed for normal populations and emphasizes the value of naturally occurring differences. The Sixteen Types were designed to make sense of human behavior and to orderly classify personalities. The Sixteen Types are ISTJ, ISFJ, INFJ, INTJ, ISTP, ISFP, INFP, INTP, ESTP, ESFP, ENFP, ENTP, ESTJ, ESFJ, ENFJ, and ENTJ. Each type represents one way of interacting with the outside world, dealing with the inner world and how structured a person’s life prefers it to be in the …show more content…
1. Frequency Distribution and Percentage. This will be used to answer the problems that describe the profile of the respondents.
2. T- Test. The T-test will be used to determine if a significant difference exists in the degree of forgiveness among respondents when they are compared according to gender.
3. ANOVA. The Analysis of Variance will be utilized to test the significant difference for the characteristics that were categorized into three or more: religion and personality types.
4. Pearson r. The Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient or (PPMCC) will be utilized to determine if a significant relationship exists between the respondents’ degree of forgiveness and their gender, religion, and personality types.
5. Multiple Regression. This statistical treatment will be used to identify which among the three characteristics (Gender, Religion, and Personality Types) could influence the degree of

Finally, Kor expresses the importance of forgiveness. “Anger and hate are seeds that germinate war. Forgiveness is a seed for peace. It is the ultimate act of self-healing. I look at forgiveness as the summit of a very tall mountain” (Kor and Buccieri 133).
Ph.D. Charlotte Witvliet at Hope College, along with her colleagues, hooked up seventy-one student participants (36 female & 35 male) to monitors in order to examine the physiological and emotional effects of imagining hurtful memories and harboring a grudge as opposed to exhibiting forgiveness to personal offenders. Each student participant was asked to complete a two-part test. First they were asked to imagine a particular person that they assigned blame to for either offending or hurting them, followed by a questionnaire about the nature of the offense and response to it. Then each student participant was asked to actively imagine either forgiving or not forgiving (the independent variables) the perpetrator.
Learning How to Forgive Forgiving someone do not remove the guilt of a person or a group who makes mistakes. Forgiveness is an unexceptional theme that society has since early times in the history of humanity, and it is a easy target for individuals of a social group to judge. The theme brings up religious effects, which influence many actions and what believers do. When it comes to family, the society’s finger of blame is pointed at parents who fail their responsibilities in raising their children.
Five hundred and seventy eight of the students were from a Mexican background, while one hundred and seventy two were Chinese, and one hundred and seventy one were European. Fifty two percent of the students were girls, while forty-eight percent were boys. DESCRIBE THE METHOD/S USED TO EXAMINE THE HYPOTHESIS The researchers chose to use an initial background questionnaire that was given to each of the schools and then the students were asked to use a daily diary checklist that was to be used at the end of each day over a fourteen day period. The students were asked to report their emotions and keep a record of any events had occurred that day with either parents or family members, friends, or significant others.
These became the basis for one of the most popular tools for non-psychiatric populations in the area of clinical, counseling, and personality assessment known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. In this assessment, there are four different categories: extroversion or introversion, thinking or feeling, sensation or intuition, and lastly judgment or perception. Extroversion is when the psyche is focused on the outside world and how the person relates to the society, whereas introversion is when the psyche is focused on themselves. Thinking refers to a person using logic in a situation, but feeling is when a person uses their own personal values or beliefs. Sensation is when a person uses their five senses and real
While forgiveness keeps peace, it’s meaningless when the action needed to forgive is done over and over again; consequently, the rebated forgiveness turns into cold acceptance. It is from testing forgiveness that forgiveness loses its importance. We see this as Jeannette’s own forgiveness begins to wear thin at a very young age. Jeannette had just turned ten when she begged her father to quit his drinking. While he was able to quit drinking for a few days, he soon crawled back, sucking on a bottle of beer like a baby does a bottle of milk.
national study conducted at a south western university. The respondents were selected from those who registered in an online panel by the AS Nielsen. For the possible distribution of the demographics variables, they gathered the gender, age, education and income of the sample reported by the U.S. Census. It was conducted in December 2013 and January 2014. The researchers administered a survey through Qualtrics, an online survey software.
We are humans and a majority of us have dealt with heartache, pain, broken promises, along with the joyous things like dreams, aspirations, and successful futures. Humans mess up and make mistakes, but we have to remember that forgiveness is a very prestigious and powerful thing. Forgiveness affects people’s lives in positive ways through the hardships, difficulties, and struggles of life. There comes a time when forgiveness should not be available to some individuals. However, this depends on the past situations that have occurred in your life as well as other individuals.
Forgiveness is a theological theme that resided with me while reading Nadia Boltz- Weber’s book, and I see it now more than ever in my past. Chapter 7 in the book shows how she forgives her friend Candace for relapsing and taking up her time, and how she also forgives herself for letting Candace’s friendship go so that Nadia could move on with her life in a positive way. There are three events in my life where I have forgiven others and myself for various things and these events have shaped me into the person I am today.
The participants gathered in one school’s cafeteria, and were given a choice of an English or Spanish survey. Only one participant chose the Spanish version. The researchers were available to answer any questions, and also checked each survey as it was turned it to make sure the results were of value. The surveys used were

The concept of personality has fascinated psychologists for years. Allport proposed the hierarchy of traits – cardinal, central, and secondary traits (Allport, 1945). Cattell also proposed his theory, the sixteen dimensions of human personality (Cattell, 1944). Jung developed a type-based theory of personality, with different dichotomous personality categories, which was further developed by Myers and Briggs in 1962 to produce the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (Ford, 2013). Some psychologists have even argued that personality does not exist; that people change behaviour over time and across various situations.
The students selected came from three sections to avoid prejudice of their perceptions. In order to assure manageability of the collected data, the questionnaire only included multiple choice, checklist, Likert scale, ranking/rating questions and did not include open-ended response
