Environmental Effects Of Humans: Human Impact On The World Environment

761 Words4 Pages
Humans have had a detrimental impact on this worlds environment, whether it’s pollution, global warming, deforestation, ocean acidification, or the thousands of other ways humans are destroying the environment. Over the years humans have done more bad than good for this environment. Humans everyday activities that may seem harmless, are destroying the Earth. These environmental modifications might become a greater cause of global species extinction than direct habitat destruction.
The first problem is air pollution, which is the emission of toxic fumes into the air. Everyone contributes to air pollution in their own way. Pollution is emitted by cars, power plants, boilers, refineries, and other sources. The ozone is deteriorating because of human activities, which will eventually cause harm to us. Luckily for us there are solutions. The first solution is for humans to try and stop driving so much, start riding bikes or walking more often. The use of cars highly contributes to air pollution by emitting gases into the atmosphere. If walking is not possible, carpooling is also a great option. The second solution is to turn of lights when exiting a room. “The electric energy used to light our homes, churches, schools, and offices are generated from power plants that combust fossil fuels to generate the energy, releasing poisonous gases into the atmosphere. Turning off lights conserves energy thereby reducing the electricity demands, cutting down air pollution”.Turning off lights
