There have been many dilemmas with America with continuous problems today. In the progressive era there were many problems that we had to deal with like unsanitary meat, child labor, and voting rights for women. Those have been fixed with the Meat Inspection act of 1906, child labor laws, and the 19th amendment. Unlike those, conservation is still a problem. The documentary ‘Trashed, with Jeremy Irons’ focuses on how the waste management industry is having deleterious consequences on human and animal life on this planet. By using case studies from around the world, Jeremy Irons takes the viewer on a narrated journey from Lebanon, to the UK, to Vietnam, and to the North Pacific, all with the objective of demonstrating how the ways in which humans get rid of waste: through landfills, incinerators, and oceanic dumping, are harming human health, destroying people’s livelihoods, and adversely affecting animals’ welfare. Irons concludes this dismal narration of the anthropogenic harms of the waste industry with an uplifting look at the positive changes that grassroots organizations are effectuating in the disposal of waste. Economic globalization has greatly adjusted the industrial structure of the developed western countries. Some developed countries actively adjust their industrial structure and product mix at home and vigorously develop emerging industries with high technology, compactness and high added value. At the same time, International economic cooperation, international investment or the operation of transnational corporations, some high-energy, high-material consumption, high-pollution and labor-intensive sunset industries will be transferred to developing countries and even landfills will be built in these countries to directly plunder the land there , Labor, natural resources, clean air and clean water, thus achieving the transfer of environmental pollution. For example, asbestos, a strong carcinogen, is used in Europe and the United States to control the use of products, but the world 's consumption has not diminished, for which, such as the United States MONBIL company and Europe 's largest asbestos manufacturing companies came to India to invest and build a joint venture. Then they set up factories, which produced a lot of pollution in India.
