The environmental issues in China began to be a threat for its environment with the rapid industrialization of the territory , that has leaded to a devastation of land and an incredible high waste of resources .
The Chinese Government started to develop its environmental institutions after the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in 1972 , the fact that the operations of monitoring the environmental issues never matched the grow of the Country leaded to serious issues for the entire population . Clearly priority is given to the environment rather than the economy but these two fields have been showed that are dependent among them , certifications are the main example, indeed in 2010 the Ministry of Environmental protection launched a low-carbon product certification , which is based on the framework of environmental labelling
We can identify 91 categories of products within the environmental labelling, these include automobile ,electronics , building materials ,packagis supplies ,chemical etc..
It is based on two types of criteria , the first on ISO 14020 and the second on ISO 14024.
While the first labeling are applied to products in the scope of existing technical standards issued by MEP, the second is applied to products without existing standards , and the checking of self-declaration is a task that is performed by CEC.
According to the type of products , the record of raw materials source employed in the supply chain should be required In China , the ISO 14001 has become an important aspect for the companies indeed data regarding the grows of the number of ISO14001 in the country highlights an important change
