Introduction The topic that I have selected in this journal reflection is related to the environmental issue which is No Plastic Bags. What is a plastic bag? Plastic bag is a type of packaging which commonly used for containing and transporting goods such as foods, chemicals, waste and more (Meiega 2016). There are two types of plastic shopping bags. The first type of plastic bag is plastic bag with lighter weight. This type of plastic bag is most commonly found in supermarkets or takeaway stores. The main material of this plastic bag is made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) while the second type of plastic bag which is the heavier and tougher plastic bags found in department stores are made from low density polyethylene (LDPE) (Planet ARK 2007). Due to the convenience usage of plastic bag, it has made it widespread in all the aspect of life. We can see plastic bag daily in our life as it is indispensable to us nowadays. This is due to the reason that human used to dispose plastic bags in an improper way such as littering around. The place can be range from waterway behind your house to ocean. The presence of winds can bring these plastic bags to everywhere. Human didn’t realize their action of littering plastic bags around can harm our planet. The planet has given out warning to human to indicate they are suffering from the behavior of human. For instance, when human choose to burn the plastic waste, it will infuse the air with toxic fumes. When the air is pollute by these toxic fumes, haze and air pollution will start to spread to the whole country. This can affect humans’ health and cause diseases such as cancer.
