In the hunt to become carbon neutral, the company has a strategy to plant around 100,000 trees each year till EY is carbon neutral. While the future growth of EY may result in greater carbon emission, the firm is devoted to planting such number of additional trees as are required to offset enhanced carbon emission, thereby, confirming that it continues to remain carbon neutral at all points of time. The company has also intended to plant enough trees to offset the firm’s paper consumption. All these afforestation efforts are held in partnership with Non-Government Organization (NGO’s) like Pan Himalayan Grassroots Development Foundation (PHGDF) and Srinivasan Services Trust of the TVS group.
