If you’ve ever had the chance to watch the 1980’s movie “The Blue Lagoon” with Brooke Shields, you might know that the blue lagoon in the movie is stunning. I had the chance to go to Jamaica with my family and see it with my own eyes, it wasn’t only beautiful it was also a bit magical. The blue lagoon in Jamaica has to be the coolest thing i've ever seen in nature.
We were staying in a place called Port Antonio when a guy from the hotel told us that the blue lagoon of the movie was really close from us, we had to go and see it. Early in the morning we woke up and went to the beach where the boat that would take us there was waiting for us. We got on the boat and started our trip to see the famous blue lagoon. During the trip there the guy who drove the boat who was also our guide started to tell us amazing things about this place, we were getting really excited to get there. As we were further apart from the lagoon we looked back and said goodbye to this beautiful place. The guide was really nice and asked us if we had a nice time and we told him that it was amazing. This guy loved to tell us stories so we listened him while he told us that the lagoon was used to be called “The Blue Hole” but in 1980 with the popularity of the movie they decided to change the name for “The Blue Lagoon”. He told us many people of the island might still refer as it as the blue hole because it was the original name. When we arrived back to the beach we thanked the guide for that beautiful experience and went back to our hotel in a kind of trance all that beauty and relaxation had left us

Show MoreThe incidences On the 2nd day of August 1942, the body of Jose Diaz was found murdered in one of the South East Los Angeles reservoirs that was famously known as the Sleepy Lagoon Reservoir. The incident acted as a trigger to most of the media houses as they focused their attention on addressing the Mexican American boy criminal gangs, their criminal activities, mad the zoot suits that they wore. As such, in trying to get to the rot cause of the murder, the Los Angeles Police ended up questioning an approximated six hundred Chicano youths. Amongst those who were interviewed were Lorena and her brother Louis Encinas who happened to have attended a party near the Sleepy Lagoon the night when the event occurred.
It was the 24th of April, when Mindy and Thalia Montgomery had first been reported missing, by the frantic mother of the two girls. East Tilda had participated in the largest man hunt the town had experienced since 1987 (when young Eric Batters had gone missing, only to be found three days later hiding in a secret room in his basement, because his parents hadn't allowed him to go the local arcade), every abled body was on the lookout, all with the same goal; to find the two girls. This search, however, did not end with the same relief as the search for Eric Batters had done. The two girls had been found two days later by the local police force, dead, at the waters edge of Amber Lagoon, more commonly known as the infamous Dead Man's Pool; a popular destination for the youth of East Tilda. Their bodies were found lying in the large reeds at the waters edge, their necks at unnatural angles and their glassy eyes unblinking.

Through the sarcasm, Campbell is able to achieve his goal because the readers see the issue, of Americans infiltrating The Bahamas, more clearly while allowing them to take a more serious approach to intervene. In similar fashion, Meichos-Glinton also inserts sarcasm into her work like when she says, “Who came up with football- the satisfying variety where a whole bunch of men...pile up on the little guy…and leave the runner brain damaged….” This is a very sarcastic statement. Even though Glinton-Meicholas knows that football is intended to entertain and improve athleticism, she still chooses to highlight the negative aspects like resulting injuries because it is originally an American sport. By using sarcasm, Glinton-Meicholas accomplishes

Sharkasm The year was two thousand, fifteen , Claire Spedale, Janie Spedale, and I were enjoying a leisurely day on the warm white sand of Rosemary Beach. Lathered in dermatologist recommended sunblock, we embrace the warm essence of the summer sun. The Spedale’s had obtained several chairs, boogie boards, and most importantly Tahiti Island.
I smiled gently as my feet sunk into the warm sands of the Punta Cana coast. During a short snorkeling expedition on the magnificent coral reefs, I was abruptly awoken by a loud series of bangs. Who was outside the door this time of night? As the banging got louder, my anger quickly morphed into terror. My mind began racing with the infinite possibilities awaiting me outside the safety of my bedroom.
A Day in Canada Tap Tap. “Matthew time to get up.” I wake up to see my dad looking at me. “ Good morning, I say” even though it was 4:30 in the morning. The day was going to be a ok day, as for me I got dressed, packed my suitcase, and we left the house.
The research team went off and did there thing, so I was left to my own to explore. The moment I got down the reef my heart sank. Everything was just white and lifeless, the complete opposite of what I had seen before. The underwater city that used to be there was gone, instead it was like a massive ghost town. All the colorful corals that once blew my mind away were dead.
First it starts of from a bathroom shower then it goes to a boat and finally to a beach by the ocean. With the exception of the bathroom shower scene, both the ocean and the beach sets a very romantic and hopeful mood. This is done so through the change of the scene form a damp shower to a clean, bright oceanic setting. The sun helps to amplify the scene at sets the tone of the setting as it brightens up the location. Also the sunny and cheery atmosphere gives a majestic feeling to the man in the location.
The tan sand and crystal clear water at the beach is the most beautiful landscape it could offer. Remembering all of the great memories of my family and I going to the beautiful beaches always makes me miss the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the sound of kids playing and making sand castles, and the sound of the salsa music blasting through speakers always makes me visualize the great moments back home. Besides the people and the culture, the environment is one of the most important aspects of the island because of the beauty it offers to the world. Back home my family and I all spoke Spanish, and when we moved Ocala, Florida we learned English.
One day after I came home from soccer practice my mom was talking to her boss on the phone. I was wondering what it was about because my mom was saying “yes” underneath her breath so her boss couldn’t hear it. And when she got off the phone she said “boys we are going to the bahamas because I just won 8,000 dollars!” We were all so happy because we had never been in a different country before. It really paid off after all the hardwork my mom put in this to win this prize.
Water has the properties of a polar molecule, meaning that it is imbalanced in its electrons. The hydrogen ions in water are positive and the single oxygen ion is extremely negative. The extremely negative oxygen ion prevails over the positive hydrogen ion, masking the positivity. Many assume that Haitians live like an oxygen ion because it is what they see on the surface and they don’t acknowledge or view the hydrogen that exist. The novel Krik?
Being very fortunate to travel, my wife and I decided to traveo to Hawaii. It was our first trip to that paradisaical place. The experience was fabulous from the very beginning. We flew to the island, and before the plane could land, we were amazed at beautiful blue and clarity of the sea. As we reached towards the beach we were able to see the bottom of the ocean.
“What a great day for a boat ride,” I thought to myself. It is a cozy warm, shorts and short sleeve shirt day at the time that people are arriving onto the big bulky catamaran. The sky is light blue with some dainty see-through clouds and a slight warm western breeze. I am located on one of the tropical islands of Hawaii, Kauai. The glossy white surface of the boat is blinding because of the reflection from the early evening sun.
