Although Bhutan has been developing year after year, health is one of the challenges faced by Bhutanese people and health is one of the major concerns among the Bhutanese people today. This is mainly because Overview | Ministry of Health. (2001) stated that the first modern health care in Bhutan only started during the reign of third king Jigme Dorji Wangchuk with opening of one room dispensary in Tashichhozong. According to Five Year Plans, (2004) after the first five year plan Bhutan could only set up 3 hospital and 40 dispensaries in the country. As of now according to NSB (2017) Bhutan has 31 hospitals and 210 Basic Health Units. We can also educate people on risk of alcohol consumption by showing the stats on alcohol related deaths. Furthermore we can reduce the alcohol manufacturing factories or make polices that they will sell 70% of the alcohol products outside Bhutan and government should also minimize alcohol imports. In addition we can also reduce the numbers of bars by giving license to only those shopkeepers who has been holding bar licenses for more than 15 years and impose high tax if people want to have bar license. To reduce cold and cough disease government should set up proper drainage and waste deposit sites. Government can also supply medicine and make people aware on cough and cold disease by providing safe drinking water and educate on need of sanitation through the use of mass media. To challenge maternal mortality rate government should educate young girls on health issues related to early marriage and teenage pregnancy. Government can also provide better health service to people so that women are given good care after giving birth. Government can also reduce maternal mortality rate by empowering women and reducing gender differences so that women do not have to get married at early age. Thus, they need not have to depend on men for financing and earn by themselves and marry and give birth when they feel its right time for
