Internet Addiction in Children and Adolescents The use of internet is very important to everybody, including children and adult. Majority of nowadays children has access to the internet. It can be accessed using a computer, smartphones, tablets and more. A considerable number of this current generation social and emotional improvement is happening while on the Internet and on the phones (Pediatrics). According to Urban Dictionary “internet addiction” is a compulsory and unnecessary engagement on the web such that it interferes with your real life. Longman Dictionary defines “children” as people who are not yet grown-up. It also defines “adolescents” as a young person, normally between the ages of 12 and 18, who is growing up. The most important benefit of internet in children and adolescent are, it improves the learning process of children and adults. Secondary school students make use of online networking to connect each other on homework and group activities. For instance, Facebook and common online networking projects permit students to gather outside of class and team up and exchange thoughts regarding assignments.
