In Holy Qur’an Allah says, “O men! Behold, we have created you all out of a male and a female, and have made you into nations and tribes, so that you might come to know one another…” (The Qur'an, Al-Hujraat 52.13). A major aspect of human nature is to communicate with each other by using language. Therefore, the definition of the word language is a system of human communication. There are many countries, which have their own languages that makes it difficult to communicate. The positive side of language learning is that it has healthy, cognitive, and social benefits that make it interesting to learn. There are many ways to learn a new language, which are watching movies and listening to radio, reading books, and communicating with native speakers. Every way has a theory that proves each theory. Watching movies and listening to radio improve your vocabulary, pronunciation, and the grammar. It is not enough to improve your language by watching movies and listening to radio, but you have to practice and communicate with native speakers to be familiar with using the language. There are abundance of applications that make communicating with native speakers easier than in the past. Even though, there is a positive side by using these applications there is a negative side, so you have to be careful that you not get hackers or viruses. Anyway, the last way that helps you to learn is reading books. It also enhances your cognitive ability. Through by reading, you can recognize their heritage, culture, and language. In my opinion, learning new languages is so important because it makes our life easier. In addition, it is interesting to see the differences between the structures from language to another and see the different cultures.
