In this day and age, Abraham Lincoln is one of the most iconic presidents to ever come into office. He is known for incredible leadership during the civil war, often regarded as one of America’s greatest heroes. The Civil War is a very important part of the history of America. The results of the Civil War helped the U.S become truly united and abolished slavery. Lincoln played a major role in this war. His impact on the war should be praised for many reasons. He provided the country with the Emancipation Proclamation which abolished slavery freed slaves. He prevented the southern states from separating from the U.S. Lincoln used his leadership to make the country right. He faced some challenges throughout the war but he was committed to putting his country in the right direction.
