General Topic: Malnutrition Narrowed Topic: Reasons why children aged 0-5 years old are malnourished in the Philippines Thesis Statement: Malnutrition is one of country’s devastating effects and it has not only affected adults, but also the young children which lead them to be more prone to diseases. Literature Review Malnutrition is said to be one of the problems in this country which occurs when an inadequacy of nutrients necessary for life. It is terrifying that 0 - 5 years old children that has malnutrition are very susceptible to infections, lack nutrient reserves for times of stress, and are easily fatigued. In the Philippines, malnutrition remain highest in the poorest sectors of society, in rural areas and among families with low educational status.
