She shows us how to implore, she once said, love God and affection others like you adore yourself. When I was 5 years of age, my mother dependably let me know that satisfaction was the way to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I needed to be the point at which I grew up. I wrote to be happy. I have two brothers I cherish them to such an extent. They made my life sweet and happy. I accomplished decent evaluations at both levels. This was the time at which my life was completely changed. At a few snippets of my life I practically surrender everything with my life yet one day, I understand that life is truly comprised of blue skies and dim billows of daylight's and shadows. Perhaps I was down at this moment however I know despite everything I have the opportunity to get up and transform it. It doesn't generally make a difference how frequently you get thumped down it just matter's how frequently you get up once more. Life isn't about sitting tight for the tempest to pass it's about figuring out how to move in the downpour. At whatever point you feel you will never see light, feel warmth or be happy until the end of time, simply recollect, some place on earth at this moment, the sun is rising. The loss of one thing is not the end of everything. After some of that acknowledgment I chose to change my life. It wasn't a decision. In any case, it was on a moderate procedure. I trusted that everything happens which is as it should be. Rather than transforming my life into more hopeless, I utilized annihilations and challenges as a motivation. Life must go on. Notwithstanding, in light of the fact that I am a cutting edge individual I realize that my life has a profound importance and reason. The reason is on account of my objectives and yearnings inspire me to continue advancing, and to get my higher level education in engineering field. The pressure that I feel when a due date is quick drawing closer compels me to focus on the right exercises, dispose of unessential data, and not squander time on captivating diversions. At last, I imagine that my great scholarly abilities are keeping me ahead at Robert Morris University. The reason is on the grounds that when it comes down to doing class assignments and undertakings, I am extremely proficient to completing distinctive assignments and on time. I realize that as a university understudy and due to my quality I am certainly mindful of my constraints and insufficiencies. The reason is on the grounds that it spurs me to exploit self-change opportunities in the work environment, educational settings, and my surroundings. Likewise, as an understudy I realize that I am fit for finishing more than what I'm doing now. Taking everything into account when I stroll over the stage and get my bachelor's degree from Texas Sothern University; one thing that I might want to detract from
The standards of a Sterling Scholar, scholarship, citizenship and leadership have been exemplified in the way I have conducted my life through the following examples. I have never really excelled in academics. I believe learning the information is far more important than getting a good grade. Math, Science, and English are not my strong suits, but I’ve always loved working with computers. From a young age I’ve always been fascinated with technology and how it helps us advance as a society.
Initially, my entire high school career, I have worked exceedingly with every activity that I have done. In this case, maintaining a 3.6 GPA and ranking 14 out of 122 of my classmates has shown my commitment to my education. While attending school every day, I cultivate my academic skills to overachieve expectations. To
My friends always know how to make me feel happy and grateful for the littlest things. My friends also teach me that I should notice the small things in life. I am very grateful that I have friends and a family who challenge me to be a better person and live a better life. I believe what makes a life worth living is learning from mistakes, learning about life, and growing as a person, and my family and friends teach and challenge me with this
With these continuous marks, it is evident that I would be able to succeed and maintain a high average in post-secondary studies. Throughout my Highschool years, I achieved academic honours in all of my 32 courses. This status allowed me to support other students in achieving higher academic levels through sharing knowledge, motivation, inspiring confidence, and cultivating a passion for academics. It means going beyond personal gains in achievement scores to helping ensure fellow students have greater confidence and competence in their academics also. I excel in both the sciences as well as classes not directly related to my career path.
To make a significant change in the world, countless hours of preparation, of work, and proactive cooperation with others are crucial for success. I partake in few extra-curricular activities, but I have dedicated years of my life to them all. On a regular week, I have to balance French club and National French Honor Society secretary duties, community service for National Honor Society, and additional choir practice for at least two hours after school each week (while sometimes performing community service with the choir as well). I want to become an engineer; so I take AP classes that are useful and interest me because I will need to know advanced math and science concepts in college. All of these extra-curricular activities and academics will become even more relevant when it is time for me to advance my future goals of pursuing a higher education and making significant efforts to aid the world by designing helpful technology with medical applications.
Many people come across roadblocks through their journey of life. I know I've had my fair share of them. The biggest bump in my academic life was changing it completely upside down. Growing up african American or with any skin that holds the slightest of pigment is not easy, but that's obvious due to our nation's past. Racism and stereotypeing has always been there.
At the age of ten being raised by minority parents was very difficult for me at the time. At the age of ten I was forced for my English and Spanish vocabulary to be very proficient due to always translating for my parents. At that age learning both languages was annoying, frustrating, and difficult; however that experience shaped me to be a proficient bilingual nurse present and gain benefits by being bilingual. The benefits where the many open job opportunities with the increase pay. This experience also assisted to raise my daughter to speak and write both languages actively although just not the way my parents forced it on me.
A couple of weeks before I turned eight my little brother was born. They have impacted my life way more than they realize. Being an older sister has shaped me into the person I am today in school and class, because I’ve learned how to cope with different things, learned that people like to do things their own way and I have learned how to set a good example. I have learned how to cope with things I don’t like very much being a big sister.
There have been many people in my life who have impacted it both negatively and positively, but no one has had an impact in my life greater than my mom. This woman is just amazing in my eyes, right from the beginning because of the way she raised me, if I had children I would raise them the same way she raised me. The person she is, in general, has really had a great effect in my life, and also how she has always told me about the struggles shes had in her life from the ones I didn't see to the ones I have seen with my own eyes. I believe if I didn't know my mother as well as I do, she wouldn't have influenced me as much as she does. The way my mom raised me has made me the person I am today, so if I were to say she didn't impact my life I would be lying.
The past four years of my life hold both my highest of highs and my lowest of lows. High school can be a very awkward time period in a person’s life. Four years ago, I made the intimidating switch from St. Mary’s School to Algoma High School. There were certain aspects of high school which made me nervous, but academics was not one of them. I learned how to be a responsible student in my earlier years, and school had always come relatively easy to me.
My 10 Life Lessons My first and most important life lesson is to be thankful. I know that is such a simple one, and it is one that I have been taught my entire life. However, I have just recently learnt how important this lesson is. I am a nursing student, and during my third week of clinicals at the nursing home I was assigned a patient that is a vegetable.
Going through the passing of her father at such a young age, has build up strength in my mom. She had to grow up quickly and learn to have strength and take care of others. Her strength has helped me as I grow up and become an adult. My mom's generosity, cooking for those who have had someone close to them pass away and giving up an hour of her day to spend time with God have shown me alot. Her generosity has shown me how great of a person she is and has made me strive to become a better person.
I have always hated writing about myself, and I always dreaded assignments in school where I had to describe myself. I always wanted to avoid doing these assignments because I did not want to sound narcissistic, or self-absorbed. I dislike people like that now, because I used to be one of those people. It took many lessons learned before I humbled myself; I am still learning to humble myself today with recent experiences I have had. Although I hate to write about myself, I have always liked to reflect on myself.
but I was always taught to be thankful of the things that I had and to not be so selfish. Having two other siblings helped me prevent the want of being selfish. I do not know what I would do without my family. My family is very inspiring because they show me all aspects on how I should live my life through their experiences like education, parenting, and work ethic.
The question posed in the title, “Who am I?” is very simple but the answers are never so. What defines me as who I am as a person today are relatively my attitude, my personal values and beliefs to life that developed throughout my life. “Values are constructs that we hold as important and beliefs are constructs that we hold to be true (Collins & Chippendale, 1995)”. Meanwhile, attitudes are relatively lasting clusters of emotions, beliefs, and behavior tendencies directed towards specific ideas, people or objects (Baron & Byrne, 1984). Generally, my family members, friends and the experiences I had contribute to my sense of who I am and how I view the world.
