• The Murchison Falls National Park, North Uganda Uganda’s largest protected area, the Murchison Falls National Park is undoubtedly the best the country has to offer. Spread over an area of 3,893 sq km, the national park is intersected by the famous River Nile. The national park derived its name from the waterfall of the same name.
Though the entire national park is a sight to experience, you don’t want to miss the Chimpanzee tracking at Rabongo Forest; a Nile boat safari to the bottom of the waterfalls; a game drive to spot the captivating wild animals such as elephants, leopards, warthogs, lions, and giraffes; an excursion to Lake Alberta, and of course a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is on the way from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park.
