Student Days
- Share a little about life as a student, what kind of a person were/are you (introvert, outgoing).
I had always been a studious guy, slightly introvert but extremely confident and independent. I learned a lot from situations around me when I was at school, and realized that life teaches much more than books. Even today, I use some of the situations faced as a kid, to my advantage in my business strategies. Many of my quirky marketing strategies are direct results of my quirkiness as a student.
- What were your career plans when you started IIT and how did they change over time.
I got into IIT by doing self study, and like many other freshers, I was keen to explore my true passion while at IIT. I find IIT Bombay to have so many learning opportunities, that its tough not to find your true calling here. In my first year, I focused on learning everything that I can, by joining various clubs and groups. I have never planned a career and I still believe in the constant process of learning. The more we learn, the more we discover about what our future holds for us.

It was actually in my first year of IIT itself. I got associated with a startup incubated at SINE and helped them make a major business turnaround. That's where the bug caught on. But the bug was intensified in my second year when I became a secretary in the hostel student body. I knew instantly that any authority over me is not something which I can handle easily. I have always had complete control over all my decisions even as a child, and I knew this was going to continue forever as an entrepreneur.

Even though I had so many responsibilities, I still had some fun time to hang out with my best friend. My freshman year, I already felt like a senior. It was my sister’s senior year and I was a freshman when we went to school together.
There are many events that led to this day and I could not imagine how my life would have turned out. At a young age, I was embodied with the notion that you need college to be successful in life, so I worked hard in school and finally it had paid off. My last semester
Schoolies week is a festival held on the Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise for year 12 students who have just finished school. The schoolies organisation host different events such as the beach party, the glow party and the movie night. There is a large amount of controversy about weather schoolies week should still be going or not. There are a lot of issues involved with schoolies such as underage drinking, drug use, unsafe sex, injury and sometimes death. 1,500 teenagers attending Schoolies on the Gold Coast are surveyed each year by Drug Arm Australia.
Is Four-Days The Way Imagine if we had a four-day school week instead of a five-day. Some school districts have changed from the traditional five-day school week to a four-day school week. The National Education Association should consider making the changes to a four-day school week, because it will save school districts money, students get better scores, and there is better attendance. One compelling reason is, that students will get better scores on tests. In the article, Is Four Days Better Than A Five Day School Week, the author states, “ ‘ Our ACT scores at the best they've been in 10 years, and our love it,’ said Chris” (https://newsela.com/articles/school-fourday/id/1002/).
One being, learning how to manage my time. There were weeks where we would have school all day, then practice till five, then a basketball game at six. It was extremely hard to study, cheer, work, and somehow have a social life. These situations helped me plan ahead to when I was going to finish homework or study for my upcoming tests. I will use this useful skill in college next year where i'll find myself always looking for time that I don't have.
Time teaches these lessons to people as they experience more interactions. This illustrates that intensive reading in order to gain depth of knowledge does not actually give anyone wisdom, but rather the tools necessary for experience which then creates
It is my desire to attend the United States Naval Academy. My goal is to follow in my father 's footsteps as an officer in the naval branch of our armed forces. My father began his career as an enlisted seaman twenty years ago and is now serving as a Lieutenant. Being the son of a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, I have always had an interest in the military and a desire to also serve and follow his footsteps. It was not until high school when I decided that I wanted to attend the Naval Academy.
Four Day Week Most children all around the world can all agree on one thing, school is awful. Around one-hundred of the country’s, fifteen-thousand school districts currently use the four day school week. Schools should all convert to four day weeks for the following reasons. It is proven that a four day school week helps academic growth.
The search for knowledge is arduous, to utilize knowledge wisely can be blessings, but
I think there should be four day school weeks because students most likely want more free time out of school. The school days will end at 4:00 or maybe 4:30 pm because regular school days wouldn’t be enough learning time. This way we could have longer class periods and it’ll help because you’ll get the help you need and work will be handed in on time. Every student has missing work, longer school days help you get some of it all in and grades will be up. Plus, maybe students could do a little work on the day that they won’t have school.
My journey consisted of many good and bad times, and throughout the years I discovered my strengths and weaknesses. I made new friends, took on different tests, accomplished many things. My first year was my most difficult, being new to the school, but as the years went by, school became a more fun experience for me. Knowing that the 4 years of high school was a journey for me, I was able to brace myself for the difficult times to come and the rewards I was going to receive. At the end of the journey, I had gained a lot from these 4 years, but it also prepared me for my next journey, my journey through university.
Four-day school weeks have the capability to change student lives. Every school should invest in the four-day school week plan. Implementing this routine would allow teachers more time to teach and give students the option to do their homework during class, in turn creating student success. All of these factors would help to enhance student and faculty life, while promoting success in the classroom. Having a school system run on a four-day rotation would increase their success by offering more opportunities for lesson and work time.
Also by gaining knowledge, you can know what you are interested in or good
By having a better understanding of the world, you learn why the world acts the way it does. Not only this, but it also helps your understanding in day-to-day life. For example, why people stare at the numbers in an elevator and are reluctant to make eye contact in this setting. It helps you to stand back, be logical and rational before you simply react.
Although it is important to learn new things, the new material learned is not as important as the process of learning itself. In the process of learning, one’s mind is transformed and engaged. They will be introduced to new things and their ideas and thinking will be changed forever. When learning new things, seeing the value of things become
