The Philippines is an archipelago in Southeast Asia made up of over 7000 islands. Apart from its urban sprawls, it is a country of outstanding beauty,super friendly people combined with rich history and cultural tradition. This exotic scattering of islands lures both local and international tourists to explore its many natural wonders. It is one of the smallest provinces of Philippines, with a population of under 17,000 only and having one of the lowest recorded crime rates in the country. Public transport being limited, the best way to see Batanes is on a bike. Quietly situated in northernmost part of the Philippines archipelago, Batanes is one of the most breathtaking spots in the country,or, possibly even in the world. It is the perfect approach to the neighbouring two popular islands of Sabtang and Itbayat, easily accessed by motor boat. Sabtang, which is just a thirty minutes ride, is known for its intermittent white sand beaches, steep mountains and deep canyons guaranteed to satisfy the most ardent of nature lovers. Itbayat,though more further away, is a giant bowl-shaped island, which is surrounded by massive boulders and steep and almost vertical cliffs with practically no shoreline.
