Similarities and Differences
Between “The Interlopers and Two Friends” they are both different character wise because the interlopers shows two guys who hated each other but, later became friends when they were at the end of their life. The similarity between these two stories is they both revolve around only two men. In a short documentary on youtube it shows the two men making up and seeing that all this trouble they caused may have just caused their death. THe lar sentence in the first paragraph it says “Ulrich von Gradwitz patrolled the dark forest in quest of a human enemy”. They are different because in the beginning of the movie one talks about two men that are really close friends. The other one talks about two men that really want to kill each other for no reason. The similarities in these two short stories is they both revolve around two men. The setting of the The interlopers is in a dark forest. The setting in Two Friends is in a Paris and an island of Marante. The similarities between Two Friends and The Interlopers they both take place in two strange places because one is in a secret dark forest the other is in a private island. The differences between them both is one is in a dim scene and the other story has lights and colors in it. The conflict in the story is in the end when Ulrich von Gradwich and Georg Znaeym are both fighting and they don’t know why they are doing what they are doing. The similarities are the ending in the story ends as a good ending. The differences are Two Friends ends as the the two friends never became separated because of their bond with each other. The interlopers ends with two men soon to be killed by assassins but, they make up and die as

Both main characters have a relationship with their parents, the main characters are in the works with having a relationship with God and finally, both of the protagonists have recurring images of death and dying. Trickster Tales are stories about a trickster who tries to outwit people, gods, or animals into getting something they want. In “How Stories Came to Earth” a spider named Anansi wants the stories to learn and share, but sky-god has a challenge for Anansi. He must capture a python, leopard a hornet and a fairy.
Thought these stories are somewhat similar, their differences greatly outweigh them, causing the feelings of the viewer to be completely different. The two stories have certain things in common, the passages came from two majorly different points of views. With one point of view from a slave and another from an explorer. One key similarity of the two stories is that both men feared they would be eaten and sacrificed.
In “The Interlopers”, irony is a key element the author Saki uses to convey the theme that when people hold grudges, the outcome of the feud is often tragic. The story tells of two rivaling families who lived in the Carpathian mountains, the Gradwitz and Znaeym families. The families quarrel began over the strip of land in between their properties. Both men claimed the land belonged to him and wanted all of it for himself. In the end there was lawsuit stating the land rightfully belonged to the Gradwitzes.
Everything in life has similarities and differences as long as you're looking for them, but some have more than others. Comparing similarities and difference between two things in life is making a compare and contrast (book) . When comparing and contrasting two pieces of literature you have to observe not only the themes of them but also the plot. Fences by August Wilson and My Papa's Waltz by Theodore Roethke have many similarities and differences throughout the literature due to themes and the plot.
Although, they have similarity, the two stories has major differences also. First, both author differs the way they introduce and develop their lead characters to the reader. Second, they also differ in perspective from which their stories are being told. Third, they differs on the choice of settings and how it impact to the stories.
Both of these stories use the theme of isolation, madness, symbolism and have an ironic ending.
