In today society, we can actually see more women in the workforce in the professional and non-professional field. Many people believe that a marriage in which both of the parents working provides more fulfilling life than one who merely depends on the husband as the breadwinner for the family. As time goes by, people still considering a working mom will give a negative impact on the child since the mother needs to balance her times between her family and her job. Either full time or part time, working mom has been the debate for such a long time. Such worries are do working mother will negatively affect their children academically and emotionally. Yet, do mothers need to be at home and raise their child? This essay will cover the positive and negative impact on working mothers to their child’s development.

The working mother has increasingly been part of the workforce and many of them have gained a prestigious position over the years. Women have finally broken the taboo that insists women need to be at home and raising their children. What society needs to understand is that some mother already entering the work field before they have kids and decided to stay even after they have them, not for satisfaction but to give extra income to their family.
