Technology, shaping our life
It is amazing, and at the same time frightening to look at a 4-year old kid using an I-pad, as to be one of his favorite toys, but do not freak out; it is normal nowadays. Technology is affecting our lives massively, by being helpful, and making our lives less difficult. It is fast, reliable, easy to access and mostly a necessity. However, there are a lot of people that are skeptic about all the innovation that the technology is bringing to our society. It is believed that a lot of human and social values are being ‘torn apart’ of becoming affected from this innovation. Another opinion is that the technology is letting our human values flourish and is giving them their true shape form and dimension in our society. But which one is the ? I believe the truth it is not black and white and we need to find a balance in both the ideas.

We all possess a cell phone, a Facebook account, an e-mail account, a laptop, access to internet etc. Everybody is dependent by technology, for bad or good. We use the technology because it saves us a lot of time, it helps us communicating, researching, navigating and all sort of things. I would describe it as a variety of tools, that it has been implemented now for more than 20 years in our everyday life, and our social and moral values, or even our understanding for the life itself it is going forward, parallel to the technology innovation. Based on this argument I believe that it has come a time when we can separate our social values from technology, because technogy has played a big impact of being the actual source of this values. That’s why when we tried to argue technology and social values separately, it is quite hard to come to e clear
People rely on technology for many things. Phones, laptops, and tablets can be used for social networking, researching for a school assignments, to quickly looking up information
People believe technological advances are changing the public’s mind that they must avoid and restrain from using the technologies because they are destroying our experience with real life. This new movement is educating
In fact, people are still able to bond using technology, it can help people to keep in touch, and it can be used to help people cherish what is important to them. As long as humans do not abuse it, electronics can simply be used as a new way to interact with one another. Unlike the outcomes of “The Veldt” and “The Pedestrian”, technology does not have to consume or ruin lives. People should encourage one another to use the modern items at their disposal without uninformed cynics claiming that they are living life
Due to increasing over-dependence on technology, many people struggle with being better social beings. This dependence has caused a greater prevalence of loneliness and alienation. Webster’s Dictionary defines society as, “an enduring and cooperating social group whose members have developed, organized patterns of relationships through interaction with one another and technology defined as, “a manner of accomplishing a task especially using technical processes, methods, or knowledge”. Technology helps shape our society in both positive and negative outcomes.
This, as a result, will certainly cause humanity as a whole to lose their own instinct of independency and self-control. What will be left of society will most unfortunately be unbalanced, inefficient, and appalling. As a result, society should come to the conclusion that technology isn’t disastrous itself alone, it is the connection and reliance that we have with it that makes it disastrous. Before we come face to face with terrible and unexplainable situations, it is wise for us as a society to reach a decision to overcome this dependency and be able to function properly once again to continue to live a prosperous and fulfilling
Owe to the development of technology, the quality of our lives has increased in a great extent. Our daily lives are now more and more convenient and pleasant since most of the tasks can be done more efficiently with the help of technologies like smartphones and the Internet; furthermore, some difficult tasks can even be done completely by robots. However, various social issues appear inevitably along the advancement of the civilization. People started to wonder whether they rely on technology way too excessively as an outcome when they realized one may feel lost and disconnected without technologies like the Internet and cellphones. It has become an universal debate: Is the technology transforming our civilization into Utopia?
Is technology bad for us? Who knew that technology usage can lead to memory problems? Since browsing through social media is very common nowadays, the brains are bombarded with electronic information. From instant messaging to blogs, it is easy to forget some things. Over the years, the debate about whether or not technology has a positive, or negative impact on society gets talked about on many sites and social media platforms.
Too much of a good thing can be harmful. And technology is an extremely great
Technology has always been progressing thus it is rampant in our society today. We use technology; depend on technology in our daily life and our needs and demands for technology keep on rising (Ramey, 2012). Wherever you look, you will see people holding different kinds of technology like cell phone, laptop, tablets and etc. It appears to most of us that technology is a necessity to the point where we can no longer live without it. According to Gavin (2013), technology moves at a rapid pace, and can be hard to keep up with at times.
Many people can agree that the introduction of technology into society has impacted humans a lot. Kids are using cell phones, computers are used in schools. Technology is everywhere in people’s lives. But the true question is whether or not technology is ruining people. Starting from the fact that kids are getting less and less physical activity due to technology, technology also ruins social skills in people, and the fact that technology is very dangerous, technology is ruining people.
Imagine a world today where people didn’t have the technologies. If there were no technologies today, humans wouldn’t have phones, computers, tablets, Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat. Technology is now a big part of people’s society and predictable future. Electronic devices like cars, phones, tablets, and computers have all been created over time to make peoples live helpful and easier. The benefits of technology are that people can talk to their friends and relatives who are living far from them, they can learn new things and online courses, and they’re able to reach distant places within hours which took years of time to reach in olden days.
We depend too much on technology. There is no doubt about it. Many places of work are at a loss if their internet connection stops working. Many businesses and institutions are left high and dry if the internet or computer crashes. Every bit of information regarding business is entered into the computer.
Task 2 2B Digital technology ¬– a health threat? We live in a rapidly changing, highly technological world, where the present day digital technology affects several parts of our lives. At work, people use digital technology to communicate, gather information and solve problems relevant to their place of work. A growing number of people also use digital technology at home, to keep in touch with friends and family, check bank balances, play interactive games, participate in online forums and interact with others on social media websites and mobile apps, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Technology is everywhere and we cannot escape it, it literally involves every part of our lives, whether we like it or not it affect us all. From how we work, play and live our lives, technology has created a revolution that will grow for as long as humans continue to advance in their capabilities. Technology just get better and better, what was once latest and popular yesterday is old hat today and the bottom line is technology doesn’t wait for anyone if you not keeping up with it, you will surely be left in the dust. If you compare the lifestyle of people living in the life of today’s time you will see that it is highly advanced, busy, complex and easier compared to the life of back in the days.
Technology has become a vital asset to the way many people in our society live. From alarms on phones that wake people up in the mornings, to the TVs they watch before bed. In many ways technology has helped the progression in fields such as science and medicine. However as a result of technology there has been setbacks as well as advantages. The number of books being read each year has gone down while the amount of time in front of a screen has gone up.
