1.0 Aim of essay and brief background to the essay To help our students thrive in a fast-changing world, MOE has identified competencies that have become increasingly important in the 21st Century. National curricula need to change drastically to comply with the competences needed for the 21st century. The purpose of the essay is to figure out that 21st century competences can be related with Malaysia curriculum. What is a 21st century competence? Some organizations put the competitiveness of the 21st century defined as lifelong learning, the key competences and 21st century skills and 21st century learning. 21st century competences mean students or the future country ownership will be able to use digital technology, communication tools, and networks to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information in order to function in a knowledge society. Compete with others, students must have the ability to purposefully reflect and make judgments or actions in diverse, and sometimes complex, situations, the ability to work through the details of a problem to reach a solution, the ability to think or act innovatively and the ability to value quality and work efficiently to achieve it.

Competency Standard III To support social and emotional development and to provide positive guidance Functional Area 8: Self I provide an emotionally and physically safe and secure environment where the children can thrive and develop their sense of self. I greet each child by name, smiling and giving them one-on-one attention. I show the children that I respect them by acknowledging their feeling and helping them express those feelings appropriately. We follow a routine, and I discuss and explain when there will be a change or disruption to that schedule.
Competency Goal III Competency Goal III is to support social and emotional development and to provide guidance. There are three main areas to succeed in this, the things are self-concept, sociality, and guidance. One focus on Competency Goal III is self-concept. Children’s environments support the development of positive self-concepts.

The course that intergrates technology is Introduction to Symbolic Logic. In the manual Partnership for 21st-Century Skills collaboration was used in my community event. The students relied on one another, and educated each other about how to integrate technology.
High quality, accessible, and patient care which is considered to be patient-centered is crucial for quick and quality recovery (Wilkinson, 2012). Plans require visions that involve the creation of interprofessional competencies by students who are planning to take up nursing as their profession. Providing such skills to students will ensure that they get into the workforce ready to engage in the effective creation of teamwork and even team-based care (Eastman, 2010). My current station of work is an example where continuing competence is to build on each professional nurse. They are expected to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration so as to ensure best practices are adhered to.

I was particularly struck by the distinction between different modes of delivering curriculum and in particular the contrast between Product and Process methods, in curriculum development. At this point it might be useful to analyse the distinction between these two processes. Neary identifies the Product Model as one that “emphasises plans and intentions” whereas in the Process Model, the emphasis is on the “activities and effects” (O’Neill 2015, p27). In essence therefore the Product Model can be regarded as a more traditional and historically tested method of developing curriculum. The work of John Franklin Bobbitt and Ralph Tyler very much advocate Product curricular designs, maintaining that these designs are centred on the creation of a disciplined and “structured learning environment for students” (O’Neill 2015, p).
In order to understand the term fully, it’s important to learn what does 21st century education mean? The industrial age has been passed and it’s the beginning of a new era, which is called 21st century. The open and collaborative way to educate children has taken over the olden traditional classroom way. The new education system has widely been used to cater to the needs of the new era.
