Receiving an Accolade from the Arab Reading Challenge
Every individual at some stage of his or her life experiences such life changing events. In this respect I must also detail about a specific incident which eventually changed the course of my life forever. The event that I did experience as the life changing event did not only empower me but allow me to feel the essence of success, which, in turn, did motivate me to establish my own social and academic identity in the course of my life.

But eventually I got the chance magically when I was summoned by a relative having high position in the academic world of Saudi Arabia to participate in one of the most prestigious academic events held in the Arab world. It was from him that I learned about the Arab Reading Challenge. What I came to know was that, the Arab Reading Challenge (ARC) is the largest-ever Arab literacy initiative. It is launched by UAE Vice President and Prime Minister of the Ruler of Dubai in order to encourage students to read. ARC is meant for challenging students to read as many books as possible over fifty books in one academic year. The challenge constitutes an Arabic reading competition with participating students from different schools across the Arab world and across other corners of the world though quite few. The competition starts every year in September until the end of March. In the competition, students work through five stages of the competition reading at least ten books and summarising their contents in the challenge passports. After completing the reading and after completing the summarising, the final stage of elimination eventually commences and it is according to the set criteria. Though I was embraced with the blessings and support of my family and friends, I was still very much anxious. I was a bit nervous because I knew that I was going to take participation in a grand academic event that meant a lot for innumerable individuals like me. After a competitive phase and a academic journey I eventually succeeded in accomplishing my goals and objectives. This accomplishment brought me international fame as I was the one to receive the accolade in the Reading Challenge. It was a magic moment for me. For a moment I felt myself to be a celebrity displaying myself before the media and thousand of camera flashes. The days following the event were more glorious for me. I witnessed news articles on me in different local and international newspapers and after receiving homeland I was warmly embraced by the media and my teachers and
