The men obtain more benefits in the matters of succession, inheritance, marriage and divorce. Personal laws violate the concept of personal liberty. The implementation of uniform civil code will also ensure nation integrity and unity. Being a nation of diverse culture and custom and governed by different set of personal laws people are separated into different groups. The implementation of uniform civil code will help to curb all the differences and make people united. This will also bring a secular law to the nation. The uniform civil code will abolish polygamy and protect the rights of the women. The implementation of uniform civil code will make the laws equal for everyone. India being a diverse country with many religion and different custom it is difficult to draft a code common to all people. The culture and practice vary from community to community and region to region and hence it is difficult to implement uniform law. since minority and many people are against the implementation of uniform civil code this come in conflict with the communal harmony among the people. This is not the right time for the implementation of this code. Since the personal law are more inculcated with the customary practice and religious belief the implementation will disturb the peace in the nation.
