Advantages
1. Speeds the sending of information
Communication technology nowadays is very advance compare to the past. Communication technology tools like electronic mail and text messaging systems, mobile phones, smart phones, internet or instant messaging programs such as messenger, blogs and some social networking community websites could speed up the sending of information among people and also within organization. Compare to the past, people only could transmit or conduct the information through sending letter which could take long time to reach to the target, how there is emergency? Security problem
Since the booming of the communicating technology are mostly depend on the internet, it definitely will face some the security problems, it such like one hundred loopholes. This had led to a series of unlawful acts including data breaching, which will bring a lot of loses of organisation.
Example in the organisation, since all information has been centralized less than one database; it is exposed to all people within the organization. The information can be attacked by a hacker or a virus and all data will be lost in a minute. So the organization must pay for the few minutes of losses which seriously affect to the business process. An organisation also will pay an extra cost to keep this information safe.
2. Reduced social interaction and poor language
When there is increasing use of communications technology, it can result in a lack of social learning. Common propriety such as dealing or communication skills, politeness and listening skills may become poorer. Due to programme like email, social website, people only depend on the testing, lack face to face communications, some also may lead to the internet addiction, depend on making some virtual image which will lead to have non healthy lifestyle. Professor Susan Greenfield of Oxford University mentioned the trend of teenager’s childlike behaviour increase; it is all due to a lack of social skills. The electronic communication does not allow for non-verbal communication, such as body language
