Advantages of Extracurriculars
Prompt-Your principal has decided that all students must participate in at least one extracurricular activity. For example, students could participate in sports, work on the yearbook, or serve on the student council. Do you agree or disagree with this decision? Use specific details and examples to convince others to support your position.
Have you ever had a moment where all your hard work and dedication has paid off? Being able to help people gives a sense of satisfaction to know all work and difficult experiences have paid off. For instance, being an after school tutor has given me an opportunity to reflect on the blessing of knowledge I have been given. Being able to reflect has lead me to have an even larger desire to help people learn and get back on track. This is why I think everyone should be involved in extracurriculars because extracurriculars give an opportunity for

Being involved in extracurriculars is proven to help your overall success and others success rates. What is success truly defined as? Success is your ability to surpass limits set by others and create the correct outcome of a specific attempt. In my eyes changing perspectives and guidelines are major components in being successful. Through being successful you can pass the success on to become a change. Being a change resembles your passion of wanting, choosing, and committing to make a difference. Being a change in the world for me is helping other people. I see being involved in clubs and activities at schools as a way to be a change in the school environment. Through helping others it creates the domino effect and people want to help others. Giving off a charismatic and generously nice vibe generates positivity through others and ultimately is the reason for the highest possible success
For me to be a good change agent, I would bring my talent of being understanding. I would be understanding of every situation, and allow my sensitivity to shine through. To be a change agent that will make a difference, I would bring my talent of being authentic, and going with how I feel. I would want to provide the best for everyone, and would love to change things for the
I have always enjoyed teaching people and helping them learn so that they can succeed in school. I got involved with tutoring through National Honor Society and the A+ Scholarship Program. With National Honor Society there is many service opportunities that I am able to be involved in and I do as many as possible, but tutoring homebound has always been what I've prefered to do. This is very important to me because many of these students aren't in class to learn directly from a teacher so things can become confusing fairly quickly and I like to be there to help as much as I am able to. Even at times when it is something that I am not proficient in it becomes a learning experience for me as well as the student I am tutoring.
It allows them to assist others without an expectation of a reward and to have a positive and enthusiastic spirit. I have participated in community service activities such as, assisting the national forest service in removing invasive species of The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, coaching kindergarteners for K-Ball, organizing the blessing box for my church, and assisting with the Reading High School Alumni yearly banquet. Each of these projects has allowed me to help my community in different ways. Removing invasive species in The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem allowed the national forest service to gain more intel on the various species of invasive plants. By helping coach the kindergarteners for K-Ball, I was able to practice another one of my skills being leadership, and teach the kids various skills that they will use not just in sports but hopefully as they go through life.
Success, a word we hear everyday and live our lives to achieve, but what does it mean to you? Throughout this school year, while exploring success I have learned what success means to me. While your stand may not be acceptable to others, success is when you have found happiness in your position in life, because you know you have given it your all , and have become a person you are happy being. People have a habit of basing their success off of the expectations of others.
In The Outliers: The Story of Success, Malcolm Gladwell emphasizes that success is achieved by external forces in which certain individuals are granted particular opportunities and advantages that not everybody is given by destiny. What is the meaning of success? In general, success means to have a goal set in mind, have a plan to accomplish a goal, work hard and achieve it. Commonly, achieving success is a process that requires time, effort, and dedication in order to accomplish it. Success might have different meanings to everyone; therefore there is no right or wrong answer.
High school graduates are starting to feel that they must go to college. Students are consistently being bombarded with different ideas of what to do after high school, most of which require some type of schooling or degree. Instructors and counselors commonly persuade students to think that we only have one option to be successful with a college degree. College might not be for everyone! From my research, I found many articles on reasons why people go to college, reasons they do not go to college, and statistics on going and not going to college.
I was never the perfect student, nor was I always perfectly behaved. I understand that there are more people like this, that is why I strive to help others in achieving their own personal goals. Spending time at school tutoring sessions, and the school band program has allowed me to help people in the way that I strive to. I am able to help people become better at a school subject that they may be struggling with, or even teach someone how to play certain type of percussion instrument that they may not have known how to play. I want to be able to look back on those experiences and know that I may have inspired someone to help others in the same way that I did for them.
I believe that I am able to help others with certain issues as I have gone through many experiences from being at this school for several years now, and I know how to deal with different problems others may be facing now. Even if I have not gone through the same things others have, I still find it quite easy for me to empathise with other people, which helps me be able to think of different solutions to different problems. From helping others, this would also help me to learn and overcome my own
Success is found in all goals that are accomplished no matter how small or large that they are. Being successful doesn 't always mean that one must accomplish goals that are hard. To others it could be marrying the person they love. To be happy with that person for the rest of their life is a big success. Being successful at an educational standpoint would be graduating college with a degree in a future career.
What does success mean to me? It means accomplishing things in life and reaching your goals. Everyone has a different view of what success actually is. Success also means setting a goal and reaching it in a time frame you set for yourself. For example I believe finishing college and gaining a career in a field you love is being successful because it is a goal that can be achieved.
Why students should be involved in extracurricular activities Extracurricular activities can range from a variety of things such as sports, clubs, or hobbies that are participated in by a group of peers. Activities like these have many perks but also may contain cons depending on the person and how much effort they are willing to put in to what they do. Overall students that participate in extracurricular activities will have a better outlook in real world situations than students who don 't participate in anything. Extracurricular activities have many pros that can improve the development of students throughout their schooling years. They teach life skills such as time management.
“Academic success,” for me, doesn’t mean graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA and attending an Ivy League college with a ton of scholarships. Personally, the term “academic success” means being able to feel proud of my own dedication and the hard work that I put in. Having the end result ultimately be, walking across the stage at graduation; whether that be at my high school graduation next year or my college graduation down the line. I know I will have achieved the epitome of my own “academic success” when I am dress in a cap and gown and am sitting at either of my graduations. All I hope for is that I am able to attend a college I want to attend, have proud parents, and in the end, proud of myself.
The benefit and purpose of school is to gain new knowledge and socialize with other people. Going straight to college out of high school is very controversial, because of the benefits and the disadvantages. This has been a big debate among students who are getting out of high school and trying to make an important decision about what they want to do in life. Two high school graduates (Mike and Sue) are talking about what they are job going to do when they get out of high school. Mike says that he is going to college to get a good for himself after college. Sue disagrees and says that she is going straight into the workforce to make money right away.
