Aerial Volcano is a stratovolcano. A stratovolcano is a steep, conical volcano built up by many layers of hardened ash and lava. They have periodic explosive eruptions.
How does Aerial Volcano form?
Aerial Island is located along a convergent plate boundary between an oceanic plate and a continental plate.

When a oceanic plate converges with a continental plate, the denser oceanic plate would subduct under the less dense continental plate
At the subduction zone, the tip of the solid mantle material melts and form magma
Pressure causes the magma to rise through any cracks in the continental plate
Rising magma builds up pressure in the magma chamber
The build-up of pressure in the magma chamber forces the magma up onto the plate surface. The lava cools and solidifies, eventually forming a volcano.

How would an eruption affect you?
Physical
A pyroclastic flow would destroy nearly everything in its path because of the hot gas and rock. When Aerial Volcano erupts, the pyroclastic flow and lava would burn through the surrounding areas

This emergency shelter would be stocked up with non-perishable food and water for the refugees and pit latrines would be dug at the emergency shelter. The reason why an emergency shelter needs to be built is so that the refugees would have a temporary place to stay in the event of a volcanic eruption. Food and water would need to be stocked up at the shelter as they are essentials for life and the water sources would be contaminated in the event of a eruption so water needs to be stocked up. Pit latrines would ensure better sanitation at the emergency shelter, which would help to prevent the spread of
