Jaipur city, the capital of Indian state Rajasthan. Here I present the three main forts of Jaipur.
Amber Fort
Away from the hustle of the main Jaipur city is situated a beautiful late fifteenth century built fort palace, the Amber Fort. Adopting its name from the Amba Mata, Amber Fort is one of the most astonish attractions of the pink city. It is also referred as Amer Fort.
Amber Fort is a fortified palace harbor to countless courtyards, gardens, audience halls, temples and personal apartments. The fort offers numerous rich, beautiful views and displays splendid architecture to must admire.
Amer Fort unquestionably stands amongst the paramount forts of India. It is a must to see and also to be included in one's Jaipur Itinerary.
The fort neighbors a famous lake known as maota lake. It fetches a magnificent, perplexing view to its watchers, reflecting the startling image of Amber fort on its

One reason to notice is its peaking indo-islamic architecture. The fort carries many gates, but most striking gateway is the two-storey Ganesh Pol, decorated with the intricate colorful paintings. The Ganesh Pol makes entrance way to the main palace
The Amber Fort has many palaces within the Fort. But the most glorious one is the Sheesh Mahal. The Sheesh Mahal is also known as the Palace of the Mirrors. Even a single ray of light that enters the Sheesh Mahal enlightens the entire hall filling it with light. The bright light striking its surfaces revives the lost days of the Amber Fort as it re-breathes into life of thousand glimmers of reflection.
Inside the Amber fort there is a marble carved flower known as “the magic flower” by the foot of most of the pillars of the Sheesh Mahal. If you look carefully at marble carved flower, you will see it has the unique designs of a fishtail, lotus, hooded cobra, an elephant trunk, a lion’s tail, a cob of corn and a
“Completed in 1992, the Bertholf Plaza is named after Ellsworth P. Bertholf, the first Commandant of the modern-day Coast Guard. He was awarded the Gold Medal of Honor during the Port Barrow Overland Relief Expedition of 1897-1898. In 1915, Bertholf was instrumental in implementing the merger of the U.S. Life Saving Service with the Revenue Cutter Service creating the Coast Guard. The plaza is the site of several plaques commemorating Coast Guard personnel who served in WWII” (Campus).
This gives archaeologists who found this, an exceptional insight into a piece of history. To begin with, this ancient art is decorated with multiple figural reliefs on the front surface of the stone. There is some damage near the top point of the artifact, along with two
In general, the thick curved lines are used to carve the figures of putti, the head of the man and Medusa. However, thin straight lines are used for details on the carvings. Most of the shapes on the Garland Sarcophagus are round and curved, besides the tomb itself is a rectangular shape. As for colour of the marble sculpture, the artist did not use any form of colour, only the natural marble colour. The Garland Sarcophagus is a coffin, the maker uses depth to create a space where the body would be placed.
It is not easy to recognize women’s face in this item hidden under the royal beard and head cloths. Only after looking carefully, I was attracted by her handsome facial lines with its petite lips and ideal nose. Massive with muscles lion’s body combined with woman’s face make you read in her eyes first “I am powerful” and only after time “ But I am a woman”. Why this item was broken into many fragments and was hidden?
This sculpture craves attention as is stands outside, on a concrete platform with four steps, facing each side of the detailed pedestal. This pedestal possesses quotes such as “I have a
The Triangle Fire The Triangle fire that claimed the lives of 146 people, most of them immigrant women and girls, caused an outcry against unsafe working conditions in factories. Firefighters arrived at the scene, but their ladders could only reach the 6th floor of the ten-story building, while the hose could only reach the 7th floor. Workers were trapped inside because the owners had locked the fire escape exit doors to prevent theft, so workers jumped to their deaths. The government could’ve prevented the Triangle fire earlier if they listened to the workers’ plea for a safety working environment. Union organization tried to address the employees’ working conditions but wasn’t recognized.
The Railing Pillar: The Great Departure of Siddhartha represents the story of Siddhartha’s escape from his life as being a prince and his embarkment on the journey towards Buddhist enlightenment. The creator of this pillar was undisclosed on the display, but it was found in India, Madhya Pradesh, Bharhut and is thought to have been created around the 1st century B.C. The pillar was most likely created as a form of visual storytelling for everyone to be able read and understand the adventure of Siddhartha’s escape from his royal confinements. The pillar seems typical of the art found around India, Madhya Pradesh, Barhut.
While General Washington gets support from congress, the army needs it. Many soldiers lye sick and die, others have their dead or infected limbs severed. This is Valley Forge in the winter of 1777-1778. Valley Forge was 18 miles out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Some soldiers are overconfident in the war and some are underconfident.
A 60-bell carillon is housed in the Tower. It is surrounded by 250-acre of gardens to attract the many species of birds. There are eight marble heron statues at the top of the Tower. The artwork scheme for both the grille work and sculpture consist of different type of birds, a Bible scene about Adam and Eva, and the serpent, sea creatures, and a variety of flowers. The top third floor had tiles that were vibrant and colorful.
Colonial Williamsburg shows life in the 1700’s as the Revolutionary war was heating up and how the different people went about their daily routines, along with showing architecture dating back to the 17 and 1800s. One of the most important buildings there is the Capitol, originally built in 1705, the Capitol is deeply entwined throughout Virginian history as a link to the colonial times when American colonists struggled to rise for independence. The Capitol had great importance during colonial times and still holds value with the citizens in Williamsburg and all over the country. It, also has a strong connection with the motto “That the future may learn from the past”. This building is deeply deserving of a commemorative coin because it held the Governor’s Council and the House of Burgesses, helped us learn tyranny was unjust, and was built by contractor Henry Cary who created the Wren building.
This familiar piece of artwork is now draped in a veil of delicate, white flowers. Initially, people were coining name "The Florist-Bandit" for the perpetrator of these flash floral arrangements,
Since having two faces isn’t common, it, in combination with the hair, becomes the focal point of the sculpture. The scale of this sculpture is miniature reaching only 9.5 cm. The small size of the sculpture makes the intricacy of the sculpture all the more
There has been a resurge in the importance of traditional Hawaiian art, of the gods and not of the gods, but even so the clear want to save these traditions is there. Traditional Hawaiian objects have become important to contemporary Native Hawaiians for the recovery of cultural practices that have either been lost or are endanger of becoming lost. [In reference to a wooden image, a god image ki’i’aumakua, insert here.] They argued that this sculpture belonged to a warrior chief who used it on a war canoe as a spear rest in times of battle. Because of the images connection to the warrior chief, there is an insistence that it must be preserved because of it’s importance and connection to the Hawaiian people.
This shrine is decorated in an immense amount of gold, and each deity is swathed in golden garlands, clothing, and ornaments. Deities are all the same size and are displayed at the same height. According to the priest, this is
Smooth, oval rocks lined the bank of the secretive lake. Discarded and neglected; overlaid with spongy moss and choked by fallen, decaying leaves from the unclothed and withering trees above. As the lake swelled around the ashen boulders, icy, black water lifelessly lapped against the long, thin beams of wood holding up a rickety pier. The structure was covered in splinters and ragged, iron nails, and as it reached out into the centre of the sombre lake, it became more and more distant. Half-cut beams lined the sides of the pier, as nettle patches hissed from the shore when the water drew too near.
