Disasters are the drastic event which causes massive and overwhelming consequences resulting in the destruction to human life, economic development and resources. Disaster is of two types. They are a natural (Flood, storm, drought, earthquake, tsunami and volcanic eruption) and Man- made (terrorism, civil war, road accidents) disaster. Developing countries like India are more vulnerable for the natural disaster affecting the human health. World Health Organisation has defined disaster as”a sudden ecological phenomenon of sufficient magnitude to require external assistance”. Normally sumatriptan is given as oral, intranasal, transdermal and subcutaneous. Sumatriptan through subcutaneous route provides a faster relief .Sumatriptan autoinjector is available for the migraine treatment and a study was conducted to find its safety and ease in handling the autoinjector. The report of the study presented it as a safe handling in the patients without any confusion during migraine. The autoinjector was simple, easy and clear with a beneficial effect even in the experienced, inexperienced, trained or self trained person .The use of sumatriptan autoinjector for migraine showed a positive effect with absence of high risk errors((Brand-Schieber et al,2016). A clinical trial in a multicentre open longitudinal was carried with 479 patients suffering from migraine and 6mg sumatriptan was given by autoinjector, subcutaneously and conventional treatment for other group. sumatriptan autoinjector was found to be effective and well tolerated than the conventional treatment.
