Brick masonry is an earliest building technique, and masonry constructions constitute a large share of structures around the world. Such structures are required to withstand extraordinary dynamic loading caused due to accidental impact or seismic activity, along with this brick masonry is a composite material made of brick units which are usually made from clay and mortar. Masonry is in general a highly resilient type of construction. However, the materials that are used, quality of the mortar and workmanship and the arrangement of the unit can considerably affect the durability of the whole masonry construction.
There are many variables that affect the mechanical behavior of brick masonry such as the brick and mortar properties, brick geometry,

• The development of adequate stress analyses for brick masonry.
• To develop a deeper understanding of the behavior of brick masonry based on experiments and computer methods.
• To fulfill the above aim the material characterization of brick masonry is carried out through experiments performed in material testing laboratory.
1.2 SCOPE OF WORK
Goals of the project:
The goal of this project is to do macro computer modeling of brick masonry under seismic loading in order to convert the highly indeterminate and nonlinear behavior of brick masonry into something that can be understood with an acceptable degree of certainty and in order to define and describe the behavior of masonry under seismic loading.
Deliverables:
• Extraction of mechanical properties of unreinforced brick masonry.
• Development of macro computer model on SAP under seismic load.
Limits and exclusions:
• Mechanical properties of only unreinforced poor quality brick masonry are extracted.
• For computer modeling SAP 2000 is used and macro modeling technique is adopted.
• In extraction of mechanical properties of brick masonry ASTM standards are followed.
1.3 RESEARCH
Building Inscription of Sesostris I (pp. 115-118) Ancient Egyptian literature reading by Miriam Lichtheim includes many broad collections of literary genres and literary styles of Ancient Egypt. The Ancient Egyptian state is the longest-lived state in world history. Ancient Egypt was broken up into three ages called the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms. Each Kingdom was broken into dynasties, which were lines of rulers with an ancestor in common.
Did you know america has been missing an ancient history for like ever? anyways First of all, has anyone ever read this book? Okay, so this book The Harbinger is about a Journalist that randomly gets mailed this one seal and he goes to the library and tries to find out some information about it. Then one day he was in the park and then this man with a brown coat with a hat on he sat down beside him and he starts talking to him and he says his name.
The Short Story ‘To Build a Fire ‘by. Jack London is about man vs. nature. The story takes place in Yukon, Canada, east of Alaska. It’s so cold your spilt is ice before it hits the ground. Temperature from 25degress to -75 it can cause your flesh to freeze.
OK. That's it. I am officially DONE accepting jobs off the open job board. From now on, I'm sticking with only the Favorites board and my DAs, even if I'm desperate. It's just not worth it.
Before bricks were commonly used, a large portion of the wall was built from earth, stone and wood. Since there was such a large quantity of material needed, local sources of materials were always sought after first, then other material would be brought in. If the building of the wall was being done in the mountains, builders would use the stone around them. If they were building in the plains, soil would be pressed into blocks and used as building material. If they were in the desert, they would have to resort to any means necessary.
Published in 1908, To Build a Fire by Jack London, sparks the adrenaline and adventure in all of us. This short story hooks the reader from the very beginning with it’s unique setting, underlying theme, and distinct symbolism. The challenges the man faces, from hazardous sub-zero temperatures and hidden spring pools to frostbite and impending death, grab the reader’s attention and doesn’t let go. The rare setting of To Build a Fire might arguably be the most important component to the story.
Do you believe God would take away everything to prove a point? Well Puritans did and they were straying away from their belief; therefore, two people in particular tried to save their people from sin. How can someone scare other people to do the right thing and get closer to God? In two of my sources, “Upon the Burning of Our House” by Bradstreet and “Sinner In the Hands of an Angry God” by Edwards, they conveyed two different types of scare tactics. The Puritans believe in their religion very strongly.

Throughout literature, journeys and relationships formed within them are used as a device to portray the inner growth and development of one's ideologies. Robert Frost’s poem 'Mending Wall' conceptualises journeys as a metaphorical voyage of self discovery and understanding of relationships between humanity and nature. The journey portrayed in 'Mending Wall' depicts the contrasting principles between the speaker and his neighbour, formulating the central theme of self discovery in the poem. Moreover, Anh Do’s book 'The Happiest Refugee' presents journeys as a method of self discovery, through Anh’s various experiences with other people, the influence and impact of various relationships on his journey is shown. Throughout 'The Happiest Refugee'
The Understanding of a Blind Man In the short “Cathedral” the narrator is the character that is being evaluated on how he changes his ways throughout the course of the story. In the story a blind man comes to visit after the death of his wife. When the narrator learns about this he is not thrilled about the visit.
Assignment 2 CVE80006 Infrastructure Deterioration Modelling Concrete Crack Diagnosis Assignment The phenomenon of cracking in concrete may depend on several factors such as the amount of loading, rate of bleeding, amount of stress and strain generated in concrete, the composition of concrete and method of fabrication. The cracking of concrete has become severe due to advance construction process which demands high strength structure requiring an increase in stress, strain, and deflection resistance. The cracks in concrete are mainly classified as structural crack and non-structural crack.
“The world we see that seems so insane is the result of a belief system that is not working. To perceive the world differently, we must be willing to change our belief system, let the past slip away, expand our sense of now, and dissolve the fear in our minds.” -William James In Cinder by Marissa Meyer, Cinder is a young lady also half robot.
Archaeology is worth it What is archaeology? Archaeology is the study of artifacts that was dug up, studying them to have an idea of what happened in the past. Archaeologists find clues to make different theories about different events. People ask the question; “Is archaeology worth it?”
Introduction Romanesque architecture started around 1000 to 1200 AD around the middle ages, extending from the decline of the Roman Empire until the begging of gothic architecture. It is one of the most influenced styles of architecture but also one of the most hard to characterize. Unlike other styles it developed independently in diverse locations such as Italy, Spain, England and France. Its characteristics come from the ancient roman architecture that developed into bigger prettier and more complex constructions. However, there are different views in where it spread first as well as where it got more influence from.
Gottfried Semper was a major figure in the field of Interior designing. He was an architect and an art critic who contributed majorly to the study of interiors .He proposed his ideas and thoughts in his book, “Four elements of architecture”, in the year 1952 and it was a huge success. In his book, he developed the theory that origin of architecture could be dated back to the primitive era when human civilization was at its peak. As compared to the modern ideology that architecture consists of structures made from materials, his theory revolved around the four main elements of the primitive era that were essential to human life.
