The purpose of doing a comparative study on how a building envelope system work in achieving Thermal Comfort as an approach in Nature Responsive Design between two rainforest resorts within the same country is to identify the similarities as well as the differences. Having said that the building envelope system is the most important element in architecture due to its functions and decorative elements, it is imperative to discover the characteristics of a building envelope system. Site experienced and literature review was conducted to go in depth about the building envelope system. Belum Rainforest Resort is compared with Templer Park Resort, this is to provide a wider range of important research and understanding of the building envelope system. The building envelope system consist of the elements of the outer shell that will form a dry, heated or cooled indoor environment. It acts as a strategy in achieving thermal comfort by providing thermal and weather barriers. It also provides an air barrier to prevent strong wind from entering. In terms of the materials chosen, I would definitely say that the architect had made a thorough job in designing or investigating the types of materials. Besides that, in terms of the facade and the roof application, I would also say that it is well thought of. Reason being is because when I was there, I was really amazed at how the building was orientated and responding properly to the climate in order for the spaces to be shaded or covered. Aside from that, I also think that the application applied between or within the buildings such as the small gardens or courtyards helped in improving the appearance of the surrounding as well as reducing the surrounding
