Should schools implement anti-bullying classes that all students are required to take in order to remedy the problem of bullying?
Bullying is a major problem that has been an issue over the years that we haven’t been able to stop. There’s 4 types of bullying. They are the physical, verbal, social, and cyber bullying. An example of physical bullying is kicking, punching, or pushing. Verbal bullying includes insults, name calling or teasing. Social bullying can be like lying and spreading rumors. Also, people have been bullying over the internet on social medias such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter which is called cyber bullying. Bullying affects everyone. First of all, schools should implement anti-bullying classes that all students are required to take, because it can lower the number of suicide rate. According to Inclusive Anti-Bullying Policies and Reduced Risk of Suicide Attempts in Lesbian and Gay Youth by J Adolescent Health, “Bullying can lead to decreased academic performance, increased school dropout rates, increased depression and even suicide in some extreme cases. Yet very few of the states ' anti-bullying laws effectively address the problem. ” (Hatzenbuehler, Ph.D and Keyes, Ph.D). Bullying has many negative outcomes. For example, it increased depression and even suicide. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year and many of those are related to bullying. Over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it. I’ve been bullied before and thought about committing suicide.Opponents of my argument may say
Bullying is the number one crime that most teens commit in America’s society. Many people all throughout the world have been a victim of bullying or has bullied someone for many different reasons. Bullying can cause a variety of mental and emotional problems in a person because he/she becomes problematic and deals with loneliness and depression. Bullies have come about because they either lack attention at home or are being abused and feel the need to bully others. However, many victims become fed up and turn to suicide as the permanent solution.
Around the world there are many kind of problems that afflict kids of all age but there is one in particular that is relevant, this problem is the bullying. The gunfire that opened at columbine high school, was also one of the most horrendous massacre at a school. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were two students who had planned a even more terrible attack. Both students spend months preparing for this moment and throughout this essay we will learn what events and planning, lead to this tragedy.
Bullying is an undesirable, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves actual disparity of power. According to Megan Brooks bullying is a serious public health problems, with significant short-and long-term psychological consequences for the child who is bullied and the child who is the bully. Recently, bullying has been becoming more and more of an issue. It’s gotten so bad that one out of four kids deal with it. Currently, bullying is worldwide. There’s no place where it began, because it’s pretty much human nature. Many people are trying to stop it, whether by using zero-tolerance policies, small punishments, and more, however, nothing has worked so far.

As a major problem in schools around the world, the issue of bullying must be addressed in order to keep students physically and emotionally safe. The act of bullying not only affects the well-being of the person being targeted, but it also affects the rest of the school community too. Bullying Can Be Prevented Bullying is a form of violence to pick on victims because they are different from their bullies, have insecurity/jealousy or home problems. The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis. When the bully takes it too far, the victim snaps and retaliates by fighting him/her back physically or verbally.

It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear.
