A lot of procedures that have to be gone through before a decision can be made. Malaysia has many layers of governance, namely federal, state and local government, and the similar procedures goes to the different policy and enforcement agencies. MyHIJAU programme has too many bureaucracy procedure in applying for MyHijau Programme. Especially to the manufacturer or supplier and services provider. In order to be more efficient, some procedure and eligibility to be one of the MyHijau Programme need to be reduce to ensure the effectiveness of the programmes can be achieved along with the objectives Decision making tend to be programmed and this discourage the search for further alternatives. The effect of rigid behaviour often is very damaging for client and customer and also for management workers where the clients have to accept standardization. In 2013, Malaysia was the eighth largest furniture exporter in the world and ranked third in Asia with the products exported to more than 180 countries around the world. The success of Malaysia’s furniture industry has always been associated with the abundance of natural resources—rubberwood. Realising this, the Malaysian government has set an annual growth rate of 6.5 percent for the furniture industry. This growth percentage will eventually allow the industry to achieve an export value of RM53 billion (US$14.93 billion) by the year 2020 as outlined in the National Timber Industry Policy. Economic downturn proves to be challenging to the industry. However, it has remained competitive due to strong global demand for wood-based furniture. Business-friendly environment also contributed to the success of the industry as the government provides tax exemption (pioneer status companies) and investment tax allowance.
