Some schools, colleges, or culinary schools have courses that can help you with your skills, follow recipes, and learn about sanitation and food safety. Although you do need to have some experience as a baker or pastry chef. Being a cake decorator depends on having a lot of creativity and being artistic. The risks of being a cake decorator are slipping or falling and getting burned. Most injuries occur from falls due to slippery floors and can result in fractures, bruises, cuts, or sprains. To reduce the risk of people getting injured make sure the floors are always clean and free of flour, oil, or water. However, when purchasing equipment and taking classes to advance your skills in cake decorating it can become expensive.
As a career, cake decorating is for people who are willing to try new things and are patient with customers.When baking a cake the ingredients should be measured perfectly so it doesn 't ruin the cake.
