Changing America
Businesses should be required to offer wellness incentives to employees. Americans need to focus on heather habits. Wellness incentives in businesses would be a step in the right direction to help us become a stronger nation. Over the last decade the world has seen a climb in obesity, causing non communicable diseases. Adults should be an example to our children but due to the prevalence of food and sedentary life style it can be hard to be healthy with temptation all around us. As adults we spend a large amount of time at work making it hard to fit in exercise and find time to cook healthy meals. Taking small steps to encourage healthy habits will help change society to start seeing health as a fundamental aspect to our culture. Pear pressure can be very persuasive, however small businesses may be the ones who feel they have to pay a steep cost at improving Americans health.

Department of labor (2014) Smaller companies should not dismiss the requirement of having a plan in place. Healthy employees may pay off in the long run and if the government is offering help why not take them up on it. Deciding on a program is no small task but there are several options for help, the center for Diseases Control, Local Small Business development centers, and your health care provider. Caron Beesley (2012) my mother works for a small business most employees at the company are overweight, stressed and work sick. If her employer were to implement a wellness program they would see a significant change to their company. Wellnesses programs are definitely not a quick fix however it may help struggling business succeed. Getting employees to participate may be a challenge. Brick J.
Putting America first does not mean ignoring the needs of other nations. In fact, it dictates the opposite, as financially supporting outside countries creates harmony and a sense of compassion. Some believe it is detrimental for America to lend money to others since it detracts from the federal budget, however, it is decisively crucial to the nation’s position in the world. While some claim the U.S. should be the government’s only priority, providing foreign aid to other countries is ultimately essential because it helps to eradicate crises in other nations, assists in maintaining good diplomatic relationships, and exhibits the duty as a developed country to cultivate independence.

Langston Hughes was a poet, play writer, fiction writer, and novelist who spent most of his early years with his grandmother. His grandmother spent her time with him telling him stories of the past. Resultantly, he was instinctually drawn to African American culture. He later wrote stories, biographies and poems about black lives in America. Langston is very well known for his views on black lies from the twenties all through the sixties and was an important figure in shaping contributions of the Harlem Renaissance.
As each year passes in America, life continuously changes through the advancement of technology. However, a more important change in America is seen through the attitudes and actions of the people. In today's society, people place more concern toward their own needs; furthermore, people are becoming increasingly violent with others. In addition, not only are people hurting each other but also themselves through extensive drug usage.
Promoting a healthy lifestyle is not only beneficial to the people but to the nation’s economy as well. “Truth is mighty and must prevail, and if any body of men believe that they have discovered a valuable truth, it is not merely their privilege by their duty
There are far too many parallels between ancient Rome and modern America. It seems as if many people do not care enough about the path our country is headed down. Ethics and values have gone out the window, the government has doomed the working class, people have become violent, people are acting without fully thinking and war is constant. America needs a change before it is too late. Ethics and values have merely disappeared but when they are present they seem to be hypocritical.
Everyone tends to have a different opinion when it comes to topics such as politics, national security, and health care. That is why it is so hard for America to pull itself together. Democrats claim one way is the best route, while Republicans tend to have a different view. We all fly the same flag and we all are under the same authority, so we must all be able to answer the same simple question. How can we make America great again?
Healthcare industries not only profit off the fact that more patients are becoming overweight, but also due to the fact that so many people have an eager desire to lose weight. Healthcare
The cost of health insurance is quickly on the rise, and employers and employees alike are feeling the financial weight. A large portion of high medical claims are associated with obesity and lifestyle choices, some of which can be reduced by making healthy changes. Due to the rise in cost, many employers are rewarding employees for participating in health screenings that measure things such as body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar levels, lifestyle choices such a tobacco or excessive alcohol use, exercise, mental health, and amount of sleep. Employees can impact the cost of their healthcare by learning about their health risks, making lifestyle changes, and becoming accountable for their own health. Upon completing
I strongly value my health and believe that health is our greatest form of wealth. When one lives a healthy lifestyle, it means more opportunities to explore the world, build families, achieving anything the heart desires and conquering personal goals. The behavior change philosophy fits my personal philosophy of health education the most because it involves goal setting, behavioral contracts and self-monitoring to help foster the modification of an unhealthy habit. The behavior change philosophy is very important because change is a process, not an event. Self-efficacy and motivation are key factors in successful behavior changes.
My Vision for America “Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others”- Jonathan Swift. Vision is important to have. Everyone has their own views on how America should be, but I think that we could make the world a better place. There are many reasons on how I think that we could improve our country for future generations. Our kids and grandkids are going to live here and we need to make it as great of an experience as we can.
A risk factor for many other diseases, obesity can affect health and longevity. Weight loss is achievable, and it provides plenty of health benefits. Studies have shown that many people who attempt weight loss regain the weight they lost. The major challenge in managing patients is, therefore, to improve their ability to sustain whatever weight loss can be accomplished. Diet, exercise, and behavioral management are the main sources of treatment, But medication and surgery can be considered in certain individuals.
All nations at one point have experienced a few different types of challenges in their history. America suffered through plenty of challenges throughout its history that have been overcome. America has been through many obstacles, but they were only realized after the problem was solved or confronted. These challenges include slavery, women’s rights, tyrants, terrorists, and innumerable more. Though confronted with challenges throughout America’s history, the main three obstacles in America today is the divisions between the public, sensitivity of some individuals, and sense of entitlement among some of the youth.
America, the land of the free, does this reign true after the years of war and amendments to the Constitution that have been implemented? Our nation has gone through so many changes. Is there even a resemblance to the original system the framers of the Constitution envisioned? The majority of the Constitution has remained constant over the years, and those changes that have been made were for the amelioration of the country.
