While our talent, hard work and dedication is what keeps us our jobs; our appearance, personality and self confidence contribute largely to our interactions with colleagues, senior management teams and sometimes job promotion.
In that regard, dressing and looking right for a job can be quite a pressurising task. Especially if an individual has to travel far to work, travel by auto or two wheel vehicles, or just doesn’t

Let’s look at a basic beauty kit. If you own a moisturising cream, foundation, under eye cream, blusher, eyeliner, kajal, eye shadow, lipstick and lip gloss, we have enough to get started.
Step 1: MOISTURISER: A good day make up routine should start with a moisturising cream that suits your skin tone. For dry skin look for creams with vitamin E and for acne prone skin look for vitamin C.
Step2: BB CREAM: Having set the base, BB creams are a great substitute for heavy foundations that give your skin an even tone covering pigmentation and giving a glow. Women often start from this step skipping moisturisers however it is recommended that the base hydration is not forgotten.

Clothes can get dirty very easily at work, due to the fact that I am continuously dealing with stock and various boxes/cartons which may be dusty. Not presenting yourself well at work can be an issue as it does not promote self-respect, and has a negative psychological effect on customers. People do not mean to have judgmental thoughts, but it is a natural instinct to disregard, or not trust someone dressed poorly, opposed to someone who appears sharp and visually pleasing. Customer perception majorly affects the quality of customer service. If one does not take pride in their appearance customers instantaneously think they do not care about their job and will most likely put off serving them to the best of their ability.
In many cases, women need to pay more attention to their public image than men. When most women go out, they will check whether their clothing has any flaws. And they usually spend several times than men before they leave because they need to prepare and slick up for a long time. Figure 1 shows the photo of the cast of Disney’s Big Hero 6. In this picture, male stars ' clothing is very similar, such as a black suit, black tie, and black shoes.
Mood is the direct result of an encounter with another person or situation and reflects how they feel on the inside. Mood is the aftermath of someone’s or something’s tone. The manner in which another acts affects how a situation is perceived. This holds true for social situations as well as for written ones. Authors often consider the mood they hope to convey, and then choose the best tone to attain that reaction.
Marshall Cohen, in the article, “Going for the Look, but Risking Discrimination,” claims that hiring attractive college students will attract more clients. Cohen supports his claim by stating consumers will want to shop just to see the attractive employees. Cohen’s purpose is to convince the reader why hiring attractive employees is a good idea because it can make the retailer marketing increases. Cohen writes in a formal tone consumers. I disagree with Cohen because hiring only “good looking” people is discriminative, unfair, and unjustifiable.
Fundamentals of Fashion And Their Reflection In “The Next Black” Aaliya Gujral Unquestionably clothes are a prominent part of our lives. They help us express who we are and often represent our sex, occupation, age and social standing. Clothing has been used by humans for thousands of years, and comes in a variety of forms. It has evolved throughout the course of history to include more fabrics, patterns, styles and designs.
This is especially true in the business (my degree) world where people take you seriously based on what you are wearing in most cases. You wouldn’t want to by a major purchase or invest in a product from someone wearing sweatpants and a plain t-shirt would you? When everyone is dressed on the same scale it promotes unity and the feeling of being related. The army makes all of their people dress the same and have similar piercings so that they will all work towards the greater good of the unit. In a since being dressed the right way for whatever event helps you feel like you are in place.
If you go to work looking all ragged and not put together, patients are less likely to want you to care for them. To a patient, they may think “well if they can’t take care of themselves, then how are they going to be able to take care of me?” I for one don’t want my patient’s second-guessing me, just because of how I look.
Makeup. A multi-billion dollar industry that dominates the media. Anybody who has ever tried their hand at cosmetics knows the challenge of creating the perfect winged eyeliner, and has failed at least once, miserably. It has become general knowledge for girls that you must always blend in your foundation, or else you will have terrible orange streaks across your face. Makeup gives women a strong sense of confidence, self-love, and boldness.
The debate over nature vs. nurture is widely known, and many psychologists are trying to understand whether our personality is derived from our genes and DNA or our everyday lives. (McLeod, Saul A). But does this phenomenon also affect our viewpoints on important societal issues? An ongoing issue in our society is the concept of a “perfect body”, but what really fits into the term perfect, how may this idea affect individuals, and most importantly where does this idea come from nature or nurture? Keeping in mind all the influences a person has while growing up, it is safe to say that nurture is the reason why the theory of a perfect body is now integrated into the society.
Selling high-end products is not so rewarding surprisingly. Employees do not acquire special bags to wear every day, even if so the brand’s collection is about the amount an employee makes in one year’s pay. On a brighter note, personality is a noticeable difference. Spotting a Kate Spade employee is easy due to the style where colorful is an understatement and outgoing is to say the least the opposite. When working for Spade an employee’s inner social butterfly is released, and allows them to have fun while working, making eight hours go by so
One of the main reasons I am interested in the field of cosmetology is because seeing the transformation of someone 's hair to fit what they like is heartwarming and knowing I am the one who helped them create a look they are most comfortable with is inspiring to me to want to do the best job I can. However, it’s not only about the transformation of someone’s hair but how that transformation can instill confidence and a sense of self-worth for a person. Having a client return time after time after I have met their expectations for either color, cut, or style will bring satisfaction not only to the customer, but to me as well.
I’m professional studio photographer in Karachi and following my passion for last 17 years in fashion industry. That “hours and hours thing” is never linked with any technological aspect but it’s all about healthy, stylish and shiny hair. Yes, people spent 90% of their time only for hair before any portraits, magazine covers, movie posters and even passport size Polaroid can’t be ignored from our daily list. I mean, you will find everyone busy in makeup room, paying attention on most significant part which is gorgeous and stunning hair. We often see our hair as a reflection of our identity because it is both personal and public.
The clothes you wear reflect your personality as it speaks much about who you are and how you do business. It shows that you are confident, bold and gives impression that you are on top of the game because you know exactly what you are about. For example, wearing a perfect fit suit would be more appropriate
There are many different definitions of workplace culture. Charles Handy an Irish author/philosopher specialising in Organisational Behaviour and Management famously said that, “Culture is the way we do things around here,” but if someone was on the outside looking in how would you explain that to them. Would you have to be working there a long time yourself before you could see “how things work around here”. Because culture in an organisation is what makes it unique, it’s the personality, the attitudes, and the way we interact and relate to each other these are the things that attract the best and Brightest talent to a company. So, if an organisation has a “strong, positive, clearly defined and well communicated culture with strong core values” (Deloitte) that company is onto a winner.
