LEGAL PERSONALITY
Legal personality means to be capable of having legal rights and obligations within a certain legal system, such as entering into contracts, suing, and being sued. Legal personality is a prerequisite to legal capacity. Legal persons are of two kinds: natural persons (also called physical persons) and juridical persons (also called , juristic, artificial,) groups of individuals, such as corporations, which are treated by law as if they are persons While human beings acquire legal personhood when they are born, juridical persons do so when they are incorporated in accordance with law. Apart from corporations there are certain other legal personalities in India which are discussed as follows- OTHER LEGAL PERSONALITIES IN INDIA
1.) Karta
The position of the Karta in a Hindu coparcenary is an example of corporate personality. In coparcenary system although each member of the joint Hindu Family has some rights and duties and even though it is a single familial unit, a Joint Hindu Family does not have a separate legal identity and is not a juristic person.

The corporate personality of a corporation is a part of the legal personality .As according to Indian laws corporations are legal persons and possess their separate corporate personality in relation to only some of the rights and duties as opposed to other legal personalities. A corporation though has the right to sue but , it cannot do itself and needs a representative on its behalf to represent in the court of law. The concept of separate corporate personality is a part of legal personality. Though there are many other legal personalities in India but the corporate personality is a part of it and is different from it them in a very small way
Companies such as Apple have made a big impact on the world and our lives. Apple has affect our lives by changing the way we do things, for example, we started listening to music differently in 2010. Google also has an impact on our lives also, like the way use our emails which happen around 2009. General Electric provides electric and it has a big impact on how we use appliances.
For several years, the law has treated corporations as metaphysical persons. This means that the law regards corporations as persons, but only for certain legal purposes. For example, corporations have some of the same rights as natural people do, such as the right to freedom of speech. Corporate personhood has evolved into a highly controversial topic since it was first established in the famous supreme court case, Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad. This was a case where the Southern Pacific Railroad protested taxes placed on it by several counties in California.
Enron Analysis Enron is a great play which presents a dry story about business in a colorful and cartoonish way and impressed me with a variety of elements, including video, music, choreography, and dance. This is a play depicts the spectacular collapse of a Texan energy giant-Enron. As an audience, I witnessed how a business empire was built on shadows, accruing debts of 38 billion dollars and finally going bust in this two hours and thirty minutes play. In the following passage, I will describe, analyze, and interpret this play both about its script, including characters and plots, and its production, such as the videos, stage props and customs.
1) According to the film, the standard metaphor for a corporation is that of an apple within a barrel where most apples are good and just a few bad. Several CEO’s offered alternative metaphors, such as pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, a sports team, family unity, a telephone system, or an eagle. Less flattering metaphors are that of a devouring monster, a whale, or the Frankenstein monster. Are any of these metaphors more appropriate than others?
Although many citizens viewed capitalists as “Captains of Industry,” they can also, just as easily, be seen as “Robber Barons.” Even though railroads were beneficial to society, they were not without corruption, as shown by the Credit Mobilier scandal. This was a railroad company that paid itself huge sums of money for small railroad construction. In fact, it received twenty-three million dollars in profit. Moreover, the railroad industry could be seen as completely insincere and dishonest because of its monopoles.

He mentioned that just individuals have responsibility and a corporation is an artificial person and so it has artificial responsibilities, however the similar situation cannot be obtained for whole business. He says that, firstly, we should ask what it refers for whom to examine the doctrine of social responsibility of business. He believes that a corporate executive is an employee of the business in a private property sys¬tem and his employers are his re¬sponsibility and says “That responsi¬bility is to conduct the business in accordance with their desires, which generally will be to make as much money as possible while con¬forming to the basic rules of the society, both those embodied in law and those embodied in ethical custom.” The primary responsibility of corporate executive is as an agent for owners of corporation or individuals who constitute charity

All other functions are underpinned by the economic role of business in society. •Legal responsibilities - Although companies have their economical fundamental role they are expected to comply with the laws and regulations of the country they operate in. The legal expectations apply to companies, as juristic entities that can act as persons, and the employees they employ regardless of their responsibility. •Ethical responsibilities - Companies are also expected to comply with the ethical norms of a society. Because these are normally not written in law and are therefore not a legal requirement it is difficult for companies to behave and follow it.
The law is an intriguing concept, evolving from society’s originalities and moral perspectives. By participating in the legal system, we may endeavour to formulate a link between our own unique beliefs and the world in which we live. Evidently, a just sense of legality is a potent prerequisite for change, enabling society to continue its quest for universal equality and justice. In an organizational settings, how well the employees are managed and understood depends on the leadership style exhibited by the leaders. Finding the right balance between being too strict or too easy with the employees not only create an ideal work environment but also increase productivity and reduce employee turnover.
From my point of view , Leadership has more to it than I can possibly imagine. I define leadership as the art of enabling a group of people get to a specific destination. As a leader your main focus was to enable your followers lead theselves. As i think deeper i realise a person cannot choose to be a leader. I think a lot of the time people take on leadership positions without knowing.
What is Ethical Leadership some may ask. It is leadership that shows through the actions of having respect for ethical beliefs and values, and for the dignity and rights of others. Ethics is associated with the morals and values an individual finds desirable. It is a philosophical term originating from Greek word “ethos” meaning custom or character. There are many different definitions of workplace culture. Charles Handy an Irish author/philosopher specialising in Organisational Behaviour and Management famously said that, “Culture is the way we do things around here,” but if someone was on the outside looking in how would you explain that to them. Would you have to be working there a long time yourself before you could see “how things work around here”. Because culture in an organisation is what makes it unique, it’s the personality, the attitudes, and the way we interact and relate to each other these are the things that attract the best and Brightest talent to a company. So, if an organisation has a “strong, positive, clearly defined and well communicated culture with strong core values” (Deloitte) that company is onto a winner.
