LEGAL PERSONALITY
Legal personality means to be capable of having legal rights and obligations within a certain legal system, such as entering into contracts, suing, and being sued. Legal personality is a prerequisite to legal capacity. Legal persons are of two kinds: natural persons (also called physical persons) and juridical persons (also called , juristic, artificial,) groups of individuals, such as corporations, which are treated by law as if they are persons While human beings acquire legal personhood when they are born, juridical persons do so when they are incorporated in accordance with law. Apart from corporations there are certain other legal personalities in India which are discussed as follows- OTHER LEGAL PERSONALITIES IN INDIA
1.) Karta
The position of the Karta in a Hindu coparcenary is an example of corporate personality. In coparcenary system although each member of the joint Hindu Family has some rights and duties and even though it is a single familial unit, a Joint Hindu Family does not have a separate legal identity and is not a juristic person. …show more content…

The corporate personality of a corporation is a part of the legal personality .As according to Indian laws corporations are legal persons and possess their separate corporate personality in relation to only some of the rights and duties as opposed to other legal personalities. A corporation though has the right to sue but , it cannot do itself and needs a representative on its behalf to represent in the court of law. The concept of separate corporate personality is a part of legal personality. Though there are many other legal personalities in India but the corporate personality is a part of it and is different from it them in a very small way
