Essay On Creative Thinking
What is creative thinking ? To what extent do I consider myself to be a creative thinker?
What is creative thinking? It is the way we solve problems in a new way or thinking the questions with a new perspective. Creative thinking bring us a new idea that it did not exist before, it is a process of being innovative. In my opinion, creative thinking is to thinking outside the box, but it depends on logic,think things independently (Week1 ppt p3). This essay will define and discuss what creative thinking is and to talk about creative thinking in our daily life.
Creative thinking is closely connected to our life experience , the truth is , it is hard to develop or find the creativity to most of us because its not easy to realize. That is the reason why people think themselves are not creative. In week one class, we have learned two different ways of thinking: Divergent thinking and convergent thinking (Week1 ppt p21). Divergent thinking genrally means to think questions with many aspects which is unlimited, in another word , divergent thinking is to think about the results as many as we can. According to the PowerPoint in week one, divergent thinking has more creative aspects compared to convergent thinking. It is a way to use our right brain. Using right brain to think it the way better to use left brain, it is a very abstract idea , but it is easy to understand in daily life. For example, when we are drawing , we just do what we like, it has no right and wrong answers, that is a effective way to be more creative , because we are using divergent thinking. But when we are using left brain to do convergent thinking ,the answers of what we think are limited, like maths and other subject that needs to think with logic.
