GOOD GOVERNANCE
To foster more inclusive participation by citizens in decision-making and social development, the Foundation has engaged imams, imams’ wives, and higher secondary-level students from madrasahs and other schools on a range of governance issues. A series of training workshops addressed leadership, tolerance, accountability, and transparency, and how to practice these values in everyday life within families, schools, and communities. Imams and imam’s wives conducted outreach in their communities on these issues, and participating youth formed school clubs focused on social development. However glaring flaws ether not realized or overlooked by Jefferson, make a system of complete majority rules to be unsound. With the voice of the common man being the one in which government decides its rules, a tyranny created by the majority could easily and has easily been formed. In an attempt to combat governmental oppression, majority rule leads to an oppression of the minority through the populous. The other pressing flaw is that of mob mentality. A system in which those without many strong opinions on matters, rally themselves behind a leader or group near blindly whether it is right or wrong.
In order to compare and contrast varying types of government within two or more countries, one must have a clear definition of Government and know the purposes it serves. Therefore, I did some research and I have established that Government is a group that exercises dominant power over a nation, state, society or other body of people. Governments are commonly responsible for constructing and implementing laws, handling money, and defending the general population from external threats, and may have other obligations or privileges. All over the world, there are many different types of government within countries. Each kind has its advantages as well as disadvantages regarding the general well-being of its peoples and economy.
Government Government is a system of social control under which the right to make laws, and the right to enforce them, is given to a particular group in society. Government power can be held by one individual, a few, or a majority. Government come in different forms. The basic law determining the form of government is called the constitution and may be written, as in the United States, or largely unwritten, as in Great Britain.
What is a perfect government? Is it an ideal place for any person? A utopia? Throughout the history of the world, there have been several different forms of government, ranging from monarchies, dictatorships, republics, and even anarchy. Respectively each of these types governments have their best and worst decisions.
