Bloody, vicious, and gut wrenching deaths occur frequently across the world. Human often contribute to the demise of various living things in order to ensure their own survival. People capture and execute animals for nourishment and protection. In the short story “The Rattler,” a man must decide whether or not to spare the life of a rattlesnake that he encounters during a walk in the desert. He chooses to slaughter the snake, resulting in the snake’s gory death. The author convinces the audience to sympathize with the snake and empathize with the narrator through the characterization of the snake, the descriptions of the tranquil environment, and the perspective of the man.

Sloths are very strange animals with their sluggish behaviors, yet they are very interesting at the same time. Sloths belong to the mammalian order Xenarthra, which also includes armadillos and anteaters. There are two different kinds of sloths, the two-toed and the three-toed sloth. There are four species of three-toed sloths and two species of two-toed sloths. Two of these species of sloth can be found in the tropical forests of Costa Rica, the brown-throated three-toed sloth (Bradypus variegatus) and Hoffmann’s two-toed sloth (Choloepus hoffmanni). Both of these sloths are found on both the Caribbean and the Pacific slopes, most elevations, and in pristine and disturbed forests (Wainwright). The general appearance of these two sloths
Burmese pythons have a large number of sharp, strong, curved teeth. They have long bodies that can strangle their prey. Burmese pythons have invaded Florida’s Everglades. These snakes are very vicious, and they have no known predators. These pythons will tear their way through the Everglades. They don’t belong in Florida, and they are taking over the Everglades. The presence of the invasive Burmese pythons, has a negative impact on the population of other animals in the Everglades.
It is directly stated that the setting of the passage is a desert area. Of course, the desert is the natural habitat of a rattlesnake. It is, again, very possible that the snake had no intention of actually going to the ranch area past the desert, but was simply wandering around in its own habitat. It really makes one think about how the snake could’ve lived and how the man wouldn’t have had to kill an animal if they hadn’t crossed paths. The man had “found the first pleasant moment for a walk after long blazing hours.” This “pleasant moment” is tainted by him killing the snake, as it was noted that the found no pleasure or satisfaction in taking the life of
The Burmese python is a compelling animal. They are native to the grassy marshes of tropical Asia. The python is among the largest snakes in the word, capable of growing up to 23 feet and 200 pounds. The pythons got to the Everglades after people started purchasing them and raising pythons as pets. When the people realized they couldn’t have a huge snake they threw them out. The snakes found their way to the tropical Everglades that have a similar climate to what they need. These snakes then started reproducing really fast and now there are loads of pythons roaming the Everglades. They are endangering other species who live there and are changing the peaceful environment to a dangerous environment. The presence of Burmese pythons are changing the Everglades by endangering other species, overpopulating, and affecting tourism.
The presence of the Burmese Python is negatively impacting Florida's everglades. According to the news article, Andrew Bill Nelson brought a 16 foot Burmese Python snakeskin to a meeting to prove how much of a threat these pythons are. In response to his threat, Florida has arranged a team of hunters and an anonymous reward to the hunter who can catch and kill the most.

Native Americans have a really diverse culture and one report is not enough to talk about all of their cultures. They have fourteen tribes so it is obvious that they will have a lot of different cultures and traditions between all fourteen tribes. It is impossible to have fourteen tribes with different people and expect them to all believe in the same things so some of them have different beliefs and different traditions. They worshipped a lot of gods and even some of the gods had dolls made for them. Some tribes worshipped the sun or fire or some serpents. Buckle your seatbelts boys and girls because today the topic is going to be about those three things.
The presence of Burmese pythons is changing the Everglades. The Burmese pythons have change Everglades animals, human lives and the ecosystem. Some people think that the Burmese pythons are original from the Everglades but they are wrong, they are actually from Southeast Asia. . The reason that the Burmese pythons has a big population in the Everglades instead of Southeast Asia is that we de human have been buying them because of their beautiful pattern and dumping them in the Everglades when they grew up to their actual size, also they are staying in the Everglades because of the climate which is humid, snakes like humid climates due that they are coldblooded.

Since snakes do not fare well with cold climates all year round, they are not found in Antarctica. Islands like Ireland and New Zealand don’t have snakes too.
