Discrimination at workplace is a very common issue that is spoke on and this issue is not has not resolve in many countries, especially in Australia. The issue of discrimination is one of the most topics are discussed in Australia. The Australians do feels discriminated by their bosses in the workplace over the recent years, the study had shown that nearly a million of workers are discriminated by their employers because of their gender, age, religion, ethnicity or even their parenting responsibilities (The Melbourne Newsroom, 2013). To prove that in Australia has issues regarding discrimination in the workplace, many research has been carried out and one of the study that had been carried out talked about gender equality in the workplace. I the report, the researcher looked into the problem precisely and had interviewed both men and women about gender equality in the workplace. in the report it was mentioned that gender inequality are daily experienced in their lives (Cerise, 2008). The women in Australia spoke about their difficulties and barriers in progressing in their workplace and not giving the right to participate in the workplace and not only that, the elderly women were also limited to the retirement saving because of their slow movement in their workplace and that was how the women in the workplace felt discriminated in the workplace because of their gender and in terms of their age (Cerise, 2008).
