I listen to rock and punk music when I'm feeling anxious or exercising, soft rock when I am driving in my car on rainy days, and showtunes and pop music when I am in a good mood and feeling expressive. However, I appreciate and enjoy classical music and even some rap and country tunes, and I'd like to think that any piece of music that is intricately written and has a lot of thought put into it is worth praising. I also think that students can receive their own sense of euphoria when they perform with other people, such as when their band seamlessly completes the most difficult of a piece or their choir's chord rings effortlessly throughout a cathedral. As a teacher, I think it is important to activate each student's individualized physiological response by incorporating all types of music into their curriculum, from the most ancient and complex to the most
I was a child when the story was released and I was only concerned and sad, but overwhelmed with joy and fascination. I could see that some young children may be frightened or startled from some parts of the story, but will not make them harmfully affected later in their lives. For me “The Lion King” was a marvelous and musical story about animals in the Circle of Life. Also throughout the story the musical songs teach children lessons about life pertaining to being good and bad. Many children remember the songs from “The Lion King” and sing them aloud by themselves and with groups of others, so this story has only provided them a profoundly positive affect in life.
Disney, why is it so attractive to children? Parents thought of this question before, but didn’t find any answer. Many young children grew up watching Disney television shows, films, and even buying Disney cartoon characters. For instance Walt Disney began his company to share love and spread fun for both children and adults. However when gender equality, oppression, and advertising become an issue and fear over the population over those years, Disney has been hit with various claims of taking the difference between male and female, focus desires, and attracting children with amazing advertisements.
Wonderful World of Racist Throughout the course of eighty years Walt Disney has made a lot of movies. In these movies you have characters that dance, sing, and do things that normal people could not do.
Blasphemy! How can parents possibly choose to make their children watch Disney movies? Disney movies have been a part of millions of people’s childhood. All the adventurous stories, “innocent roles”, and happy endings may seem harmless, but they are affecting the audience’s mind by sending the wrong message. Disney movies are negative for the viewers, and aren’t beneficial to children because they represent historical inaccuracies, send subliminal messages, and promote sexual activities.
So next time, if a teenager wants to go watch a movie, they should watch a movie like Mulan because she is not easily influenced by others, she make sacrifices for others and she also make
Even 'The Lion King ' (1994), the Disney animated
Disney Company is notoriously known for making revolutionary cartoon movies that always gets the kid’s attention and win their hearts. The vast majority of their movie are targeting kids, kids under the age of 15, who are unbeknownst to the hidden messages about the movie(s) they’re watching. For example, The Disney film Sleeping Beauty, the main character Aurora was cursed to be sleeping forever by an evil witch. And Prince Phillip is bound to kiss her for a “true love’s kiss” and wakes up. It is pretty evident at the ending that the prince kissed Aurora without consent and she had no idea that it was going to happen for she was asleep.
Specifically, in Edward Scissorhands, the fighting scene where Edward and Jim were in Edward’s attic and in the background, the music was loud and fast to show that it was a fight scene and that someone was going to be hurt or killed. Music changes throughout a movie to capture the mood of a particular scene and to evoke emotion from the audience. In Edward Scissorhands, the suburb is associated with lighthearted music and dark gothic music is associated with Edwards home, the mansion. The lighthearted music gives the audience the illusion that the suburb is happy and safe and the dark and eerie music gives the mansion an illusion of creepiness. Music can also relate to sounds in a movie as sounds can be used to have the audience hear if it will lighten up the mood in a scene or make the scene seem scary and eerie.
Cultures are spread through globalisation through knowledge, ideas, clothing, beliefs, values, languages, food and movies. When contact occurs between cultures, all ideas are spread and transferred which has become easier nowadays than in the past because fewer people were to able to travel and experience the rest of the world. Disney, Disney princesses especially, has had a big impact on the spread of cultures from Saudi Arabia 's Aladdin to Germany 's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves to China 's Mulan. Not only has Disney spread the culture of beliefs and values, most children from all around the world who has watched a Disney princess original would be able to identify the traditional dresses such as the Qipao from China in Mulan. Their movies have also given children a way to apprehend various styles of cultures.
Gender roles have been noticeable in Disney films especially the Disney Princess series. Women are typically portrayed as a princess, homemaker, or queen while men are portrayed as strong, dominant and authority characters. The portrayal of the prince or knights in the movies usually highlighted with the strong and powerful characteristic, whereas the Disney princesses are weak, vulnerable and being protected. According to Tiffany, gender stereotypes and behaviours illustrations are very common in Disney culture and their depictions have become sophisticated over the years especially those of female characters.
This strategy is when a firm decides to serve two or more exact market segments. Over the last four years, Disney intrigues people of all ages; whether it is a child, teen, or parent. For small children, it has its animation films, toys and other goods from their consumer products division, a segment on their channel called "Playhouse Disney," and many more. For older kids such as tweens and teens, it has the Disney Channel, Radio Disney, their live-action films, and much more. Disney creates a mindset that anything is possible and that fairytales do come true. When children watch Disney movies, they form a Utopia an imaginary word in which everything is good and there are no problems and even if there are the people can always win. When I was young I was fascinated by the Disney movies and I still am. They provide us with a perception of a better life. Children are the same their perception is made
The connection of parent and child through music is a special bond. Like when a mother sings her child a lullaby, it is one of the truest and purest moment of bondage between people
For a movie to be successful, a fight must be had between good and evil. As they were introduced, the Huns are the force of evil in the Disney 's rendition of the Ballad of Mulan and the Chinese people, especially Mulan herself, are the heroes that try to stop theeir enemies and save their country. The differences between both of the parties are shown very clearly, to create a straight cut between good and bad, thereby imposing on the children the importance of choosing the right side, the one that will surely win. As much as Huns are demonized in the cartoon, the Chinese people are made more American that Asian. The decision to make the Chinese more familiar to the people of America and Europe, towards whom the Disney 's movies were majorly directed, was also linked with the notion of post-colonialism.
