One of America’s most controversial issues today is the border between the United States and Mexico. The big part of the issue is due to illegal immigration, which is when foreigners enter the U.S. without an entry or an immigrant visa. President Trump says he has found a solution, otherwise known as the “border wall,” but this will not stop people from wanting a better life. Of course I get why he and others would want to continue the process obviously to keep us safe from terrorists and other dangers of the world, but, to every pro there is a con. Even though the fence along the U.S./Mexico border is already being built, it should not continue being built because it is expensive, hurts the environment, and immigration rates have significantly dropped.
The candidate to president is drawing conclusions about people from another country without giving any reasons to support his words. His accusation is unjustified; he cannot prove that Mexicans who are crossing the border illegally are what he claims they are. Furthermore, Trump has no way to prove that Mexico’s government is actually “sending” these people themselves. If we follow his reasoning, he states that the “bad” Mexicans are crossing the border because the Mexican government is sending them, which falls into the category of the fallacy of
Gary Johnson being a third party candidate is a mixture of the republican and democratic beliefs. Johnson believes Trumps view about the wall is obscured, in his book on page 127 he states “A 10-foot wall just requires an 11-foot ladder." (Johnson, 2012). Pretty much meaning a wall is not going to change anything, the illegals will figure out a way to get over it. Johnson also believes we should do the illegal and unimaginable, that the fifty five million illegal Americans in the country right now should be able to easily get a work visa and start paying taxes and living as a citizen but not making them a citizen.
Donald Trump is one of these people who wants to change the laws of immigration, even though he might not know what they really are. As he has said on his presidential campaign, that he will Enforce Immigration law, because Donald sees the immigration system weak and wants to make it stronger. (koser) Opposing dream act is another thing Trump wants to get rid of because he sees it as giving immigrants, some free money that they “didn 't earn”, but he doesn 't see it as he 's literally taking away children 's education. (koser) Donald Trump wants to enforce the border laws by, building a fence, deploying 25,000 additional border agents, and utilizing predator drones, which a lot of people see as too much because it’s is. (koser) to me this is just insane because what will this solve, nothing, the only thing that will happen is either no one will vote for this because it a clear abuse of our given human rights, or this will just cause violence, koas, doesn 't matter this is not a good idea and it obvious that congress will never let this
A multi billion dollar wall should not be built. Because the United States is strengthened by illegal immigrants. Immigration has been slowed by increased border protection, however it hasn’t been stopped, but most illegal immigrants don’t cross the border. A majority of illegal immigrants are people who have overstayed their Visa or have been smuggled in vehicles. The truth is, building a wall to stop illegal immigration is useless.
Many people are against immigration. For example Donald Trump, currently president of the United States, believes all forms of immigration should be reduced, legal and illegal. Over time and many years, fences were built at the Mexican-American border and tougher immigration policies were put into place for the purpose of trying to keep immigrants from crossing the border. During Trump’s presidency he plans to build a wall on the border of Mexico and America to keep immigrants out. There are many people who are against immigration and believe that even legal immigration should not be happening.
Trinisha Sullivan ELA 8B presidential essay 12/17/2015 Essay #2 Why shouldn 't Donald Trump be president? I believe that Donald Trump should not be president because, Trump has a degree in finance rather than Law, Trumps Ban against muslims and He thinks he can fix the world 's problems. Trump shouldn’t be president because he has a degree in finance rather than Law. I believe that to be president you should have to have multiple degrees like obama who has four law degrees. The president of the united states should be highly educated and if you 're not I don 't believe you qualified to be president Donald Trump also shouldn’t be president because of what he said about banning muslims.
This is a divisive proposal on the part of the president and mine 's unifying. It says just don 't change anything." King calling his own move “unifying” makes no sense, especially considering the Rules Committee blocked the amendment. The replacement was a change supported by the public, and one that should be done. Yet there was King, standing in opposition of change without any reasoning or
Three ways to secure the border would be to build a wall, call in more of the national guard, and deport the illegal immigrants with harsher punishments. Building a wall would prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the border than the fences that are already there. Fences eventually are not going to be as stable as before, and sneaking a way through fences is easier than trying to climb up a wall. A wall would not have loopholes like the fences do for the illegal aliens to find their way over, like building tunnels under or climbing over it. Obviously the fences are not working because over 11 million illegal immigrants have made their way into the
The current president of the United States is trying to apply this inhumane regulation (US court refuses to reinstate Trump 's Muslim ban, 2017).It is normal that on a visitor’s arrival their passport and legal documents must be verified, but a relatively new addition to the scrutinization is that the government officials have the right to ask for the person’s social media information. It is a very invasive and pointless regulation as to enter America from a middle east a person needs a visa (Rodriguez, 2016). Moreover, if they got approved for a visa to enter the country, why feel the need to invade the person’s privacy even more? In addition to that people of color or that follow Islam are randomly not so randomly checked. Their belongings are treated like trash when being looked through with complete disregard.
Neither one of you comes into contact with the other but you go back to the life you know, not interrupting or endangering the other’s life. This scenario is what people hope will be reality if the wall is built all along the southern border. It will create a world where illegal immigrants will have a harder time coming into the United States and disturbing how many Americans live. This wall between the United States and Mexico has led to many arguments on either side. With the United States 2016 Presidential Campaign currently going on and Donald Trump saying that he wants to build a wall between the United States and Mexico, border walls are becoming a popular discussion
Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that if the wall were to be built, Mexico would be the one to pay for it. The President of Mexico has refused to do this several times. Although, depending on the type of wall and the materials needed, it may ultimately cost too much for the U.S. to afford. The length of the border itself must also be considered. In addition to cost, time is also a huge concern.
Would Stricter Gun Control Laws Benefit America? The highly debatable question has flooded the minds of Americans. It is continued to be argued throughout America. The Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States clearly states: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.” Obama’s effort to enforce this amendment may leave America in a frantic position. Stricter gun laws would not benefit America because they would restrict the rights of citizens, restrict the reliability and freedom citizens deserve, and would do nothing to prevent killings from occurring.
