I think Singapore should grant the residents to have dual citizenship as people experience issues to pick whether the remote or Singapore citizenship. Some people have strong association with Singapore as memories and encounters they had, it shapes them to what they have become today.
As the door to Singapore closes, they have to move forward and leave behind their elders, friends, motherland and probably everything as need to consider the future for their new family. Despite the fact that Singapore need to attract in more outsiders to Singapore, many reluctant as whether to leaving their country is great decision or not.
The concept of dual citizenship implies that the individual is a subject of two countries simultaneously. Every country has its own particular citizenship laws based on its own policy. At times, dual citizenship happens naturally in some circumstances. For instance, if the child is born in a remote nation while the parents are a Singapore citizen, the child will have dual citizenship.
