“The natural environment sustains the life of all being universally” (Lama). In the United States, we have a duty to protect the environment by recycling, carpooling with others, conserving energy and more. Conservation, Preservation, and Environmental Activism had been around since the late 1800’s, educating citizens and leaders from around the world that saving the earth is important (Rome). After World War 2, the United Nations was formed to negotiate conflicts, peace, global issues and more (“The United States is Born”). Leaders from around the world discuss about global issues like, climate change, human rights, food, water and more. After these issues were discussed by leaders, citizens began to recognize the importance of protecting the earth. Organizations and laws were formed to preserve the environment from any more harm. These teams of experts include scientists, biologists and policy makers. These scientists come from all different backgrounds and knowledge, helping to preserve the future of nature. This team of intelligent scientists focuses on ways to develop new and improved resources to help the planet. Also many students from colleges volunteer or do internships for the organization. World Wildlife also promotes affirmative action to assure equal employment opportunities. The most important part of this organization is that it addresses all aspects of issues that happen on this planet. Most organizations focus on one or two issues that the planet faces. Meanwhile, World Wildlife Fund brings major awareness to all issues. The Wildlife Conservation Society has been around longer than World Wildlife Fund but, Wildlife Conservation specifically focuses on protecting species.
