Chapter 1
The Problem and Its Background
Introduction
In the present, many people are affected by deforestation mainly because wood or lumber is a basic ingredient or tool used in our daily routines. People use wood for construction making buildings, and doing construction. Many people use wood in their house like furniture’s, tables, chairs and many more appliances, which makes wood a very common material used. With deforestation, many of the things used in people’s everyday life will get sturdy because basically wood and lumber can be used in almost everything and when these materials are experiencing shortage it can change a person’s lifestyle. With this problem a project was introduced, it was called Ecoforestry which aims to preserve the

Scope and Limitation
This research focuses on the project ecoforestry and the awareness of the selected respondents on ecoforestry towards the preservation of the forest and their perception of the project. And this project will not focus on Government projects and NGO projects. This project will also not focus on restoring the forest.
Significance of the Study
This research shall pose significance of the following:
1. Loggers
This research can help the loggers, because with ecoforestry they can have a sustainable job. And with ecoforestry loggers doesn’t just chop down tree’s they also take care of the forest.
2. Buyers of lumber
This research paper can also help buyers because if more people do and affirm the project in time lumber will have a better quality and less unstable.

In the Southeast United States most timber is own by non-industrial private landowners. Wood dealers are usually well known within these communities and have relationships with these landowners. Many landowners are susceptible to deal with the mills because they think they are trying to low-ball them and don't have the relationship that a wood dealer in the community does. Landowners usually want to deal with wood dealers because they either known and trust them or they known somebody that has dealt with that wood dealer before.
Deforestation is still an unbeleafable issue even to this day. With our trees being cut down to make supplies and furniture, we struggle with keeping our ratio of trees being destroyed and trees being planted equal. It seems like that was also the case in the past. There was a significant amount of trees being cut down in 1920, the land looking much more barren than it did in 1650 (Document A, map). These trees, some of them taking more than three thousand years to rise tall, are being cut down.
When this happens it causes adverse effects on the environment. It can be done in a variety of ways from cutting to burning. Either way mass deforestation is bad and needs to stop before it is too late. One culprit of our deforestation is
Subject- Deforestation affects majority of the population, including people and animals, across the nation and in my community. Situation or Problem- Deforestation is the action of eliminating trees, in forests, by cutting them down. The objective of deforestation is to create more land for construction and land establishments with the idea of not restoring thee trees back or replacing them. How it affects my community- Deforestation can disrupt the homes of many animals, including birds and fish.
Forest protection is a whole new branch related and linked with conservation, protection involves protecting the areas in which wildlife move to. Protection of all life where its marine or not. As well as protection of the parks and sites along with plants in order to reach their maximum growth. Since approximately 94 percent of forests is public property forest management teams have to keep a closer look on what’s happening to the
According to Nebel and Wright, “four basic principles are essential for achieving a sustainable ecosystem, the goal of the environmental movement. They are: (1) recycling elements in order to dispose of wastes and replenish nutrients; (2) using solar energy; (3) maintaining the size of consumer populations to prevent overgrazing; and (4) maintaining biodiversity.” An ecological emergency can happen when any of these domains are settled with compromise. While people are destroying the tropical rainforests, they don’t realize that they are destroying 40% of the world’s supply of oxygen. 40 million acres of tropical rainforest are being lost annually to deforestation and humans destroying the Earth.
Deforestation is the act of cutting down trees in a certain calculated area which are measured in hectares, but the purpose of cutting down mother nature’s forests isn’t for the trees, it is for the land. Us, the people,
Introduction: Description: Deforestation is defined as the permanent destruction of forests in order to make land available for other uses. According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) 18 million acres of forest are lost each year. This equals to approximately 36 football fields of forest being cleared each minute. Though deforestation occurs all over the world, it’s the tropical forests which are being particularly targeted. Due to this countries such as Indonesia, Brazil, the Democratic republic of Congo and Thailand have a very
1. Introduction: Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the important green house gases (GHGs) emitted in the atmosphere through various human and natural activities. The human activities include rapid industrialization and urbanization, deforestation, excessive use of fertilizers in agriculture, excessive use of fuels, papers and many other manmade resources whereas natural activities include volcano eruption, forest fires, earthquakes etc. Emission of GHGs in the atmosphere leads to global warming which is one of the primary reasons behind the atmospheric changes that affect the human life directly or indirectly. The consequences of global warming are extremely harsh seasons, untimely rains, extended summers and floods that results in human deaths, destruction of flora and fauna in addition to the huge economical losses.
Introduction: “Sustainable agriculture is the efficient production of safe high quality agricultural products, in a way that protects and improves the natural environment the social and economic conditions of farmers their employees and local communities and safe guard the health and welfare of all farmed species“ There are three main principles of sustainable agriculture, the three principles are: 1. Economic sustainability 2. Environmental sustainability 3. Social sustainability With the human population continuing to rise, it is vital that the agricultural industry becomes more sustainable to meet the needs of the growing population. One of the impacts of this growing population is an increase in land usage for settlement purposes.
Our earth’s natural resources are rapidly dwindling and our environment is being increasingly degraded by human activities, it is evident that something needs to be done. We often feel that managing all this something that the government should
As the result of my experience this semester I can conclude that this experience was a life changing experience. The way I viewed things in the past about the environment has changed. In the past I was not aware of the importance of living a more sustainable life. Also, how protecting our environment is one of the today’s most serious issues. Some of issues and information that I learned throughout this semester was the web life, food web, overpopulation, mutualism & commensalism, climate change, pollution, rainforest & sea destruction, and the extinction of many animals and plants.
THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND HUMAN HEALTH Technology is a major part of everyone’s life. Technological advances are encountered at home, school and at work. These technological advances have become so helpful to people lives. Every year new technologies appear to help people to live more comfortable by allowing them to do more with less effort. That’s why expressions such as “I do not know what I would do without the washing machine” or “I could not live without my cell phone” are heard more frequently.
Green growth and green economy have been subject to various definitions but those currently being used by international organizations have a lot in common. Greening growth (GG) and moving towards a greener economy (GE) is complex and multidimensional. Green growth is a matter of both economic policy and sustainable development policy. It tackles two key imperatives together: the continued inclusive economic growth needed by developing countries to reduce poverty and improve wellbeing; and improved environmental management needed to tackle resource scarcities and climate change. The concept of green economy rests on the economy, the environment and the social pillars of sustainable development.
