Electric cars or internal combustion engine cars; which one is better? Electric cars were in their prime back in the early 1900’s, but a sudden rise in petrol engine cars, alongside with battery technology issues killed electric cars by 1920. However, with new improvements in battery technology and power electronics, electric cars have resurfaced. I will compare these different technologies, and come to understand which one is better.
Here I will be comparing the electric car with its petrol engine car counterpart. Combustion engine cars produce a lot of carbon emissions that are ejected into our atmosphere, leaving us vulnerable to things like pollution and greenhouse gases. In order to help the environment we live in, an electric car is

The only difference comes in the fact that in electric vehicles, they have more of them which are used to power the engine. Electric cars are entirely charged by the electricity you provide, which means you don’t need to buy gas again. Driving cars that need gas can burn a hole in your pocket. With electric cars, this cost can be avoided as an average person spends $2000 to $4000 on gas each year. Though electricity isn’t free, an electric car is far cheaper to run. Many owners of electric cars have reported savings of up to tens of thousands of dollars a …show more content…
Companies like Nissan and Tesla offer great electric models with an outstanding amount of benefits for people who decide to invest. You’ll be saving not only yourself, but also your family a huge amount of money. The downside to Electric cars is the fact that these cars are limited by distance and speed. Most of these can only travel up to about 50 to 100 miles without being charged. You just can’t use them for long distant travel as of now, although it is expected to improve in future. It takes a couple of minutes to fuel your gasoline powered car, an electric car can take about 4 to 6 hours to get
I do not think that driverless cars are the future of America. From personal experience I know that the batteries in electric cars are not very reliable. When I was with my uncle in his electric car driving to the grocery store all of the sudden the car starts beeping rapidly and indicating that we had seven minutes of drive time left on the battery. The charge indicator also said that the battery was fully charged. When we took the car to the shop the next day we found out that there was a circuit board error that involved the battery.
In “Electric Cars pros and cons” by Brad Berman, he emphasizes that electric cars don 't last long, and that the lack of electric stations also hurt their range. Electric cars are not intended to go on long trips either, and the lack of these electric stations puts a higher risk for people to be stranded in the middle of possibly nowhere. In “electric cars: benefits and disadvantages” by the author of Doug Demuro, he states that electric cars are not big on the range, and that you can run out of electricity when nowhere near an electric station. For example, the Ford Focus electric and the Nissan Leaf: they have a range of approximately 75 miles. These are just the affordable electric cars as well, buying one with more range would just lead to higher costs, so having the problem with possibly stopping nowhere near a station is not one you 'd
There has always been those certain environmental people that say that diesel trucks are bad for the environment. What those people do not usually know is not surprising to anyone that knows a diesel engine. The only thing that they know to say is "that black stuff that comes out of the truck when they "roll coal" is bad for the environment. A diesel has many different ways that make it a better vehicle.
Gasoline and diesel are fossil fuels and aren 't infinite. Battery electricity are better, they don’t pollute and don 't burn fossil fuels. Instead of having a gas tank and having to fill it up at a gas station, these cars have batteries in their place and can be recharged with a larger charging station and needs 220 volts. The recharged batteries stay charged until the car is driven. Some people say that battery powered cars are slower, but it isn’t by much and battery powered cars think is worth slowing down a little if it means saving the planet.
Cars are the most important products in the modern lifestyle. Whether it’s going to work, school, the mall, or even your friend’s house, it’s likely that you will be using a car to get there. As you all know, cars can have drastically different prices and look drastically different as well. I’m sure everyone here has a car, and I’m also sure everyone here will be buying another car in the future. Whether you want a car that can fit a large amount of people, or a sports car that can go extremely fast, an electric car will almost always be the best option for you.

According to the conserve-energy-future, Electric cars are Safe to drive. Electric cars undergo same fitness and testing procedures test as other fuel powered cars. In case an accident occurs, one can expect airbags to open up and electricity supply to cut from battery. This can prevent you and other passengers in the car from serious injuries. (Transition: When Engineers feel they have achieved major objectives, less pollution becomes the major goal of their
Soumya Saji Ms. Patiño English 2/16/18 Global warming as became a huge concern for today’s world. The rise of alternative fuel sources is to help this worldwide problem, as a result, electric cars have started to become a familiarity to everyday roads. Electric cars have many benefits and potentially does help with global warming, but it may not be as environmental-friendly as advertised.
At the end of winter season, the warm spring climates melts the snow and ice, but it can bring the most problematic element on the road known as patholes. You can find dozens of patholes in your path, but they are your car's worst enemy. If you are drive over a dreaded pathole, then it can seriously harm your car's control system. The spring weather absorb the road bumps, the car would continually bounce along the road and make the driving very tricky. Your car eventually hit on the road, which can seriously damage most of its important components.
A lot of people love to hear about energy efficient and environmentally friendly options out there. The electric vehicles today serve great benefits in keeping emissions down and using a more friendly alternative energy source. In my opinion they have made an impact on the environment, but a major benefit in using this alternative resource is less cost to fuel the vehicle. Gasoline is very expensive today, and using the energy that is used to power our home, is much less expensive and more available than gas. The environment, as claimed by environmentalists, suffers due to the emissions of automobiles today.
The history of the invention of the automobile is one of the most amazing and representative examples of human civilization. Just 100 years ago, the car was just an exciting monster in a circus, and today there are more than two hundred and fifty million cars that run on a road around the world, millions of people in the use of cars for a living or traveling. The car change the way of life greatly, so that today 's people even cannot imagine, how we will go to life when we left the car. In the history of automobile invention, the contribution of the United States also has historical significance.
Diesel engines outperform and produce less emission rates on Earth than gasoline engines. On the other hand, gasoline engines cost less to run daily. With the EPA making diesel emission standard more stricter, the emission rate for diesels have decreased. Also with different equipment being installed to diesels, the power has increased too. How much have the EPA standards lower the emission rates?
My First Car Was your first car, given to you for free? The first car I ever had was a Chrysler Cirrus, and I did not have to do any looking around to get it. I wanted the car ever since I can remember. It is the car my uncle has had ever since I was still about eight or nine months old.
Introduction: Internal combustion engines play a dominant role in transportation and energy production. Even a slight improvement will translate into considerable reductions in pollutant emissions and impact on the environment. The two major types of internal combustion engines are the Otto and the Diesel engine. The former relies on an ignition source to start combustion, the latter works in auto ignition mode.
but it’s hard to make it happen and make everyone to use it because it run slower and few distance than normal car. Now a day fuel is more expensive and most making carbon dioxide in human activity [ 1] and electric car is developed enough to run on the road like normal car that we can see on the road. Thesis Statement: The Electric car have several features that make it as the future of every car. Body1 Topic sentence: Electric car did not make pollution. Support idea: zero pollution Support detail: It use electrical energy instead of fuel that not making carbon dioxide to the air or any pollution to the nature.
