ABDOULAYE DAOU 03051338 MELIKSAH UNIVERSITY EEE ENERGY Introduction: In physics, energy is property of object which can be transferred to other objects or connected into different forms, but cannot be created or destroyed. We can say also energy is an attribute of all biological systems from the biosphere to the smallest living organism. Totally, it is difficult to give one simple comprehension definition of energy because of many forms. They are several types of energy like Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical…. . Energy may be transformed between different forms at various efficiencies. In biology, within an organism it is responsible for growth and development of a biological cell or an organelle of biological organism. The fields of energy are broad but l will focus on types of energy, energy production, used of energy, conservation energy and energy industry. Types of energy: There are different types of energy. The main types of energy are: kinetic energy and potential energy. Kinetic energy is energy that is in motion. Moving water and wind are good examples of kinetic energy. Potential energy is …show more content…
Electrical energy can be converted to chemical energy though electrochemical reactions. Usually, once chemical energy is released from a substance, that substance is transformed into an entirely new substance. As we know concerns about the greenhouse effect and global warming, air pollution, and energy security have led to increasing interest and more development in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, wave power and hydrogen. But we will need to continue to use fossil fuels and nuclear energy until new cleaner technologies can replace them. The best ways to reduce energy consumption is right under our noses. So finally, energy is used a lot in our current lifestyle. The efficiency is increasing due to the generation and storage technics. The future is ours, but we need energy to get
second law of thermodynamics- Whenever energy is transformed, the universe becomes more chaotic. 40. Secretion- molecules are created and transported out of the cell.
Potential Energy- Potential energy is stored energy. 4. Kinetic Energy- Kinetic energy is energy in motion. 5.
Kinetic energy is moving energy and can be found through the equation KE=(½)mv². Energy is measured in the units of Joules or j. Potential energy is another form of energy that is energy that has the ability or potential to make matter move once it is released. Energy cannot be destroyed or created, rather is is transformed into other types of energy (for example kinetic to electrical). Mass is also another type of energy (mass energy) and it is just the mass of an object or the energy of being. Chemical changes cause atoms to be altered or changed while physical changes do not affect the chemical state of an object.
Our society is in constant need of energy. 40 percent of the United States energy consumption is from oil. Coal provides 23 percent and natural gas provides 22 percent of our energy. These sources and how much we get from them will soon have to change because as most of us know, our fossil fuels are limited. Once these fossil fuels are used, they cannot be replaced.
Every physical thing designed or alive or not, is open to the laws of physics and behaves in ways that can be explained and predicted from the physical stance. Releasing an alarm clock or a goldfish from one’s hands has the same predictions about its downward

Cellular Respiration One of the main essentials of life that all organisms need in order to function in our world is, energy. We receive that energy from the food that we eat. Cellular respiration is the most efficient way for a cell to receive the energy stored in food. In cellular respiration, a catabolic pathway, which breaks down the molecules into smaller units, in order to produce adenosine triphosphate, also known as, ATP. ATP, is used by cells in the act of regular cellular operations, it is a “high energy” molecule.
This model demonstrate the transformation of mechanical energy from the form of potential to the form of kinetic and vice versa. Mechanical energy refers to the total of potential energy and kinetic energy in a system: KEi + PEi = KEf + PEf. The principle of conservation of mechanical energy states that total mechanical energy, which is the addition of potential energy and kinetic energy, remains constant as long as the only forces acting are conservative forces. “A conservative force is defined as a force with the property that the work done in moving an object between two points is independent of the taken path.” ( Robert A. Pelcovits, 2002) Example of conservative forces in this project is gravitational potential energy.
For example, as a roller coaster goes downhill it builds kinetic energy. Potential energy is energy of an object that does not move at all. Think of a book on top of a table, it doesn’t move at all. Another example is a roller coaster on the top part of the hill before it goes down. The potential energy is converted into kinetic energy once it falls downhill.
All animals need energy to survive, but every animal gets the energy they need in different ways. The movement of energy flows through a community is depicted as a food chain or food web. Food chain and food web are different; however, both show the direction of energy flow from one organism to another. A food chain is a simple model of the relationships that allow energy to pass through an ecosystem, while a food web is a collection of a food chain that shows a variety of possible energy flow path.
• Inputs and Byproducts. • Environmental safety factors. Each of these sources has exclusive characteristics which manipulate how and where they are used among these sources. 1.1 Wind Energy System Wind is air in motion, it is due to uneven heating of earth surface by the sun rays. Since the earth surface consists of different types of land the water, it absorbs the sun heat at different rates.
For many years now, it has been debated which of the new and upcoming renewable and sustainable energy sources if the best to use. Energy create from wind, is a very favourable contented in this debate as it is a very good alternative energy source. Wind energy is used all around the world. Humanity has been using wind energy for over 100 years. For example, we used to (some still do) use the wind energy to grind grain in old fashioned wind mills..
If its a cloudy day you can’t use solar power to heat up to make energy. As you can see its very inconsistent and unpredictable. It also takes more money to build these places non-fossil fuel plants rather than the traditional ones. What are some of the energy sources we use today The typical energy that a normal residents uses is electricity and natural gas.
Energy is simply the capacity to do work. Energy has become one of the necessities of our modern life. Energy can have many forms like heat, electrical, chemical, nuclear, light, etc. In the pre historic era fuel wood was the major sources of energy. Conventional energy sources are the ones that have been using so far to fulfill most f our daily energy requirements of cooking, lighting, transportation etc.
Building Strong Relationship with Positive Energy Energy Energy is defined as the capacity for work or the force that helps us do things with vitality and intensity. This energy would be further classified into Negative or Positive; Negative Positive Negative, stressful work environments results in - Physical fatigue - Decreased optimism - Lower morale Positive, work climate makes workers feel - Uplifted - Encouraged - Empowered
