Facebook as a social technology has become a popular communication vehicle. Its usage has been integrated into the daily lives of virtually everyone but most especially adolescents. However, despite the social importance of facebook and a great fun enjoyed when using it, some negative effects emanate from its heavy and aimless usage. One of such problems is Facebook Addiction which is prominent among adolescents. Many adolescents experience problems in their social life and relations because of facebook addiction. Hence, this is harmful for personal and social development of adolescents. A keen observation of what is happening among university students with cases of addictive use of social network sites is an indication that Facebook addiction is real and prominent. For instance, Ogannah (2015) observed that a 19 years old female student who is in her year two in one of the universities in Nigeria used her smart phone for thirteen hours in a day chatting with friends and responding to Facebook notifications. Alabi (2013) submitted that in Nigeria, most university undergraduates now start the day by checking their Facebook account while some cannot do without accessing their Facebook account within every passing hour. Consequently, Adesokan (2013) opined that many of the university students regularly come in late to early morning classes due to late-night log-ins and most times when lectures are going on, students are found playing games online, checking mails and chatting with friends online. Also, Karaiskos, Tzavellas, Balta and Paparrigopoulos (2010), reported a case of a 21years old female who used facebook at least 5 hours a day which later resulted to the loss of her
