Conflict is a disagreement between two or more parties. Various conflicts at the family level arise due to inability to comprehend and empathize with one another needs and vulnerabilities. Many families involved in conflicts do not seek help instead they abuse one another and even ending up hurting one another; they end up breaking up the family. The following is example of conflict involving personal relationship encountered recently-; Jane, a mother of two, is married to James, a businessman. James finds a business deal far away from home, and he leaves his family to handle the business. Days become weeks, and weeks become months and months turn to years, James does not come home. He loses his friend, his family and his freedom all at once. This happened because James did not talk to his family and he acted without having second thoughts. His lawyer tried to defend him with the concept that he acted out of provocation, but the judge did not accept the idea. James is now serving a life sentence in prison, and his wife and children still hate him for his actions. Multi-Causal Role Model Multi-causal role model focuses on causation, different quality of reasons, triggers, channels, catalysts, target, contents, actors, dynamics and structures. Causation James does not communicate with Jane after he left for his business deal. He does not even come visiting home, and this causes his wife to assume that he is dead. Jane at some point is at fault since she does not go looking for her husband. She is impatient and decides to handle the situation without full information about her husband’s whereabouts. James’ friend is also to blame as he rushes to marry his friend’s wife without full disclosure that James is dead. These aspects are the main causes of the …show more content…

If James had communicated with his wife throughout the period the conflict would not have occurred, since when would always be informed about his whereabouts. Jane’s ignorance in finding information about his husband makes her assume that he is dead and she sells his property and remarries. If there were transparency in the information, this conflict would have been avoided. Ignorance is also a primary reason for this conflict. James was ignorant enough to think that his wife did not deserve to know about him in the four-year period, and Jane, on the other hand, did not care to look for his husband after he went silent, so she assumed he was
