Chapter Twenty
Death
It has come to my attention recently that there is a large proportion of people within this world who fear death. Many people often live to wonder why they are living. They question what will happen when they die, they worry about when they will die, and they never seem to find the answers. You can read books, watch movies or documentaries and look into the science behind it all, but this will still leave some people unconvinced and with fear welling up inside of them. This is because all too often people are looking in the wrong places, or they are not looking at all.
The reason that I was so unaware of this obvious fear that a lot of people have with death is because I can honestly say I don’t fear it. And I have not

If you are going to have a fear in regards to life or death, have a fear of not living your best life. Hopefully this fear will then create a motivation and a drive inside of you that causes you to live each day like it is your last. Live each day in thankfulness and appreciation that you have the things you have and you are the person you are and soon each day will become a contribution to a life worth watching, a story that’s worth re-telling.
I can imagine so many of you right now wanting me to cut to the chase or scratching your heads trying to understand why this fear is inexistent for me and what the ‘magic trick’ is for you to then be able to say the same thing. Well, my dear readers, the ‘magic trick’ that is embedded within my life and the ‘magic trick’ that is embedded within the lives of thousands of people throughout the world is a simple, pure and well established trust and faith in the Almighty Father. The ruler and maker of the earth we inhabit.
I believe in God the Father, Almighty maker and ruler of heaven and earth, who was and is and is to come.
God will return and there is a place for you in his glorious heaven if you are willing to accept your

The righteous will be raised to life at Jesus’ second coming. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an angel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” - 1 Thessalonians 4:16. The unrighteous are raised in a separate resurrection, the resurrection of condemnation. Jesus said, “Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” - John 5:28-29.
I know that is a lot to comprehend and read, but take your time, read it a few times and it is then that you will realise the pure beauty and significance of these words.
So I will now ask you, how badly do you want to alleviate your fear of death? Because I can assure you, a pure and firm faith in God will help get rid of this fear, for good.
Don’t fear death, fear not
It’s only natural to be afraid of the unknown. However, The Book Thief adds irony to this fact, for humans and Death will haunt each other mutually until the end of time. People have harnessed Death time and time again and made him our own, so to think he cannot be partially controlled is a lie. Indeed, Death is unstoppable in natural scenarios, but he most definitely can be in human conflict. In a perfect world, crime and war would be nonexistent.
In conclution, Alan Seeger and Emily Dickinson, both explain that althrough there were diffrent viewpoints and lifesyles although death is inevitable and unpredictable, death is something to not be feared but calmly accepted and perhaps calmy anticipated. Death is usually viewed as doubtful and people usually never want to accept it but Seeger and Dickinson explain to us how unevitable death is. Both authors further explain that death must not be feared but calmly accepted. In summary, death is a natural occurance that wiil inevitably happen to every living organism on this earth which is why it’s imperitave to humans that death should not be feared becaause we just wait its
Most people are scared thinking that there going to die, but scientists have developed medicine to delay the effects. Most
Fear also causes you to think in the worst possible way. You may be too tired or weak to do something so you automatically think it’s the end. Is there ever really an ending to a person’s life though? Although it’s too hard for you to go catch food or water there’s always a little strength that should strive you to go get it because it’s not the end.
In his book entitled Untie the Fear Knots of Your Heart, published by Liberty University Books in 2010, Dr. Ken Nichols explains how fears are generated from life events, and that knowing how to manage these fears can be far healthier than letting them control the heart. Dr. Nichols explains how fear is a normal response to life-altering events that one may face, and these fears can often tie one’s heart in knots. This steals the joy that Christ provides. Attempting to use the fear will not overcome the challenging event that originated the fear. Depraved things happen, and they can cause fear.
The influence of Fear Imagine driving a car up on the mountains exceeding the speed limit without wearing the seat belt. Imagine for a moment how it would feel when death is a few meters away from you. How about your children who are waiting for you to take them home? Exactly, it is a mix of different feelings for losing the most precious things you have on earth.
Steve Jobs once said "No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.
No matter what religion, or belief an individual hails from, it can be assumed that most still fear death. However people die around us all day, and if you watch the news, death is a popular subject. As a Metallica song is titled, “to live is to die.” To some scientific theorists, there is a belief that you are never truly dead (not an afterlife). Merely the simple concept of, “energy can never be created or destroyed,” and the belief is that you simply are energy, as the hallowed equation goes, E=mc2.
However, because we don’t know what death is, it isn’t strange that we fear it. People like to have control over things. And when we can’t control something, we fear it. Throughout the years, we took more and more control over nature, for example, building a dam to protect ourselves from the water, but we still cannot control earthquakes, and therefore we fear them.
Due to the evolution of obsession of self and beauty, death has become an evasive and avoided topic in American society. Throughout the decades, death has become an avoided topic in American culture. Definitively, death is the moment when all vital signs stop and all life is left behind. According to Barry Greenwald, author of the article “Death and Dying,” “The dying person is losing everything and everyone he/she has ever loved and cherished in his/her life.”
People who are somewhat religious are more likely to fear death than individuals who happen to be atheists or those who are exceedingly religious. Atheists and individuals who highly believe in an afterlife are less likely to fear death as compared to those who are only somewhat religious. This is because of the confidence of the exceedingly religious in their chances of making it to heaven since the chances of attaining an afterlife in heaven is analogous to the amount of religious acts they perform. In regards to the concept of reincarnation, the conditions of the proceeding life may be compared to the acts performed in the current
Everyone has to face death. There are some people who fear death because it will take them away from their loved ones and rip them off what they have earned throughout their life, such as money, honor, and power. However, there are people claiming that they do not fear death since they have experienced many wonderful moments in their lifetime. Death sounds so terrifying because it means an end of someone’s life. Reading Epicurus’ “Letter to Menoeceus”, I will argue that a reason to not fear death is that we do not exist anymore after we die.
Even though fear creates strong emotions of displeasure, fear is not necessarily bad. Without fear, one could never learn how to overcome obstacles and feel a sense of achievement at the end of it. One fear I had a long time ago, was called achluophobia, or fear of the dark. This fear would absolutely terrify to the point that I could not sleep without light and would stay up if there was no light to drive away the nightmares that came with it. Over time, I began to realize that I could overcome this fear, it was possible.
If people have the right to live, then do they have the right to die? Is it okay to end someone’s life in order to end his/her pain and suffering? These are two of the biggest questions nowadays and I am here to take my stand on this issue. People are easily confused with this due to the fact that on one hand, we know that it is wrong to take a person’s life. On the other hand, it is difficult to see them suffering and in pain for a longer period of time.
The one fear that made your whole body shakes uncontrollably to the point where you couldn’t take it anymore. Now imagine having to live with that fear every single day of your life. Imagine being a child whose biggest fear is whether or not he is going to starve to death.
